bug splat upon starting game from steam

Hello coh2 people,

Hopefully you guys can help a brother out. I have almost over 850+ hours into the game and I never had a crash, system is a 3.2 quad core, 8 gb ram, 980 gtx, 500gb ssd and 1440p resolution.

After my retirement from the game I decided to make a come back and it was working fine for almost a week, then I come back after work to see that I keep getting bug splat errors upon start up. I tried to uninstall coh2 and reinstall, I tried to delete the coh2 folder from my documents/my games/company of heroes 2 and and delete my appcache in my steam folder and still I get a bug splat upon start up. My warning.log reads as follows:

I tried googling 'error code 1129468744 company of heroes 2' and did all the suggestions that I came across, however, the problem still persist.

seems like my game cannot load configuration_system.lua, any suggestions?


*ps no viruses, windows was just re-installed after installing new gtx980.
**also I deleted configuration_system.lua and started the game through steam and problems still persist

Things like these should be sent straight to relic, I think that they know more about these matters than us here on coh2org
