Stun nade from elite troops

I havent really noticed it before until today and I dont even know if its a bug that happens all the time, but I've had an opponent throw stun nades from Elite troops doctrine and my conscripts/engineers dont call out that a nade is being thrown at them. Makes it hard to dodge if you aren't babysitting every unit. ( at least in that particular game). So whats up with that?

It's not a problem exclusive to stun grenades. I've had it happen with all types of grenades, including molotovs.
