Just my suggestion but hopefully Relic can listen.
Can you change the Veterancy icons? The Soviets are fine with their golden stars. But for the Germans, can you change to cross when units obtain veterancy? That will distinguish the two sides, historically correct and look much better.

iron crosses perhaps, but thats to offensive so how about nazi symbol. ;P

Better than crosses maybe : why not the shiny diamonds we had back in vanilla before that horrible change they made to veterancy icons that showed up the health bar after.

Well, in vCoH the iron cross is actually mentioned when some unit-type achieves level 3 vet.
