This new Content Requires a game update. To Access this Content please close the game, accept the update, wait for the update to download, and then restart the game.

So I started getting this popup every time I start the game, I didn't buy any dlc or download workshop items. I already tried verifying game files and reinstalling the game.

I'm thinking a steam client or Relic changed something about how DLC items are handled and I own a lot of them so one of them could be the issue.

If I could I would just ignore the message, but it seems like I can't get into any mp games anymore. Automatch gets to please wait and then throws me back to search for a game and this loops forever.

Any ideas?

I have the same error when I start the game, but it doesn't appear after that and I can play games normally. I have seen several others also having the message.

I would imagine it will resolve its self come patch time (31st March) as its probably tied into something that will update / change.

This may have something to do with your steam cloud, or steam clown as I like to call it, getting out of sync. As a precaution, you may want to verify your game data, as well. Something might of derped out on you.

Allright, I managed to find the solution to my problem. I went through the dlc list and found TWFA Preorder listed as Not installed. No idea how to force it to reinstall as I already reinstalled the whole game, but If I just uncheck it the game works fine again, no popup and I can play mp. Not sure if removing it also removes my preorder bonuses, but I don't really care at this point.

Having the same thing, but it doesn't seem to have any further effect so I don't care. It started to appear a few days ago and appears every time I start the game.

ignore it or disable the DLC like he did. or you can prey/pray/assault relic and demand a fix.

The annoying thing is that every time I restart steam I have to untick that DLC to fix it.
