That's what it says on Wikipedia But yeah I didn't say PS3's couldn't play PS2 games, only that the original 60gb models could and that only the slim versions can play PS1 games.

Well I have one of the earlier models - ps3 FAT - and that plays ALL PS games - I think its just the new ones that u cant play all games with.
Its a really nice feature - if you have some older games that were good laying around.
