Yeah I just see that 128bit memory bus and it really makes me :( 270's are 256bit and 280's are 384bit not to mention 290's are at 512bit.

Don't get me wrong that card is good, one of the better 960's out there. It's out of the box speeds are lacking compared to other 960's that come OC out of the box though. If your going for a 960 as I say it is one of the better ones, others would be ASUS, MSi and EVGA. (all have versions that come OC out of the box)

Maybe that is outdated, but AFAIK these "synthetic" benchmarks don't reflect gaming performance that well. A great overview with lots of games can be found here (you just have to go back for each game and the dBA-levels):

Btw, that is the GTX I'm glancing at ;)


This graph shows, why you shouldnt buy a gtx 960. they compare a oc'd 960 to a non oc'd hd7970, which is as far as i know pretty much a r9 280 and it !still! looses. a r9 280OC will eat a 960 for breakfast and is still cheaper.

Just to let you know: i went for a R9 280 IceQ² (or whatever it is called exactly ;) ) and am totally happy with it. Thanks guys for your advice!

IMO you should just get a 290X, yes it's more expensive, but you can get just 1 instead of two 270x, good value for performance, and SLI-ing (whatever the ATI term for this is, I forgot) in the future is probably going to be easier.
