I've used the puma a bunch of times and it always misses. I stop and attack and it missed 4x in a row on 3 separate occassions on critically wounded tanks. It then dies in 1 or 2 shots from AT fire. Considering it costs 80 fuel and I only used it to chase down a tank, are pumas just worthless?

I really hate the RNG bullshit in this game.

Many good players consider Pumas too good.
They are pretty much fine. and they are super good when well microed

I think the puma is overpowered personally, but I'll agree that its accuracy is terrible for some reason.

puma accuracy seems lackluster because its timing makes it usually counter other light vehicles which have a small size

I've lost two T34-85s to two well microed Pumas. Puams are awesome, provided you respect the light armor and low health it has, and use its range, mobility, and its awesome smoke ability properly.

Well the range and penetration is more than the panzer 4 gun but the scatter is also greater. The RNG of this game can be really frustrating I guess. Chasing an almost dead tank and missing 4 times in a row given good stop and shoot micro is kind of bs but that's the nature of this game.

I guess pumas are really meant to be use as more mobile paks given their range and stun. Flanking with them is a suicide run given the stupid scatter (even though I was happy to trade 80 fuel for 115).

What unit were you trying to hit? Accuracy modifiers differ between different units, Light vehicles tend to "dodge" your shots.
I really don't like puma, but it has good range, fast reload and is very good for going after high value targets like Katyushas and priests.

Important to note that the OST and OKW Puma's are different. OST Puma has less acceleration.
