Opening the minimap, especially after not using it for a while, brings a short stutter to the game. This is my main deterrent for barely using it.
There should be an option (in the main menu) to enable the minimap happenings to always be in RAM (or however it is programmed) to eliminate the lag. Because this is a performance changer, it can be an option for those who use it lots or wish to use it more.
