Why can you see the enemies arc of fire on their ATG's and MG's?

It makes it so much easier to get out of the line of fire and seems very stupid to me.

I can understand being able to see your own arcs (although I prefered not being able to; makes it more skillfull) being able to see your enemies allows you to stay on the edge of ATG's range for example, backing in and out when they take shots.

Rather cheesy IMO

Anyone else agree/disagree?
