Average players of coh 1 = 1600. With two versions, both only got ~ 800 which is much too low.
Just make the beta version the official one, its advantages outlast its disadvantages anyway.
Also merge 2on2 AT with 2on2 Random. It's better playing against a team, than playing NOT AT ALL
Beta + normal Steam Version needs to be merged

Well it's a beta, so once it's fixed (like the crashing, 'drophack' ends to every game) it'll be merged, obviously.

Merging random 2v2 and 2v2AT during automatch i dunno. Starcarft has that feature and makes finding games shorter to wait.
However what will happen to the ranks? If you win as a random 2v2 player, you get a different rank than if you win as a 2v2 AT player. It kinda defeats the purpose of 2 teams, higher skilled game, facing each other.

Presumably people playing the non-Steam version of COH aren't playing multiplayer. The shutdown of the old servers put an end to that, didn't it?

Well, right now we have literally no 2on2 AT. Because there are not enough players.
So playing 2on2 is better than not playing 2on2 at all.
The ranks, well just merge them too or whatever people want. After 7 years they aren't that important.

Nah they are mostly playing on Tunngle, with like 100 players, most of them probably pirated the game though.
