We are playing 4v4s, when a person on the other team is loading so slowly that his whole team decides to alt+f4 out of the loading screen. After he finally loads, the game proceeds to not actually load, until the connection fails and we take a defeat. Dropping our team rank from 7th, with only 2 losses on record to 9th with 3.... thanks relic.

You probably just got lucky so far. Connection related losses are extremely common in 4v4. Maybe if you all live close to a server you've had a better run of luck than others, I don't know.
