Nice tutorials, mate!
Here's a good page for WW2 aerial pictures, if someone needs some inspiration for a map: http://aerial.rcahms.gov.uk/worldwide/Germany.php.

Excellent work, Sam. High class production through and through. Can't wait to play some community made maps. :thumb:

Let me refer you to the first part of this tutorial, if you have questions regarding map sizes

Great video series! One question, though. How can I import an image into the map to use as a template as I build the map layout? I saw this done in relic's worldbuilder video (approximately 1:02). There is also a blog post which mentions the technique (http://www.snakebytestudios.com/tag/company-of-heroes/) But I cannot find any actual instructions.

To be clear, I know how to import heightmaps. What I'm referring to here is the ability to import a large image (kindof like a really big ground texture) to use as a template.

Thanks again for the great video series. Looking forward to future editions!

You can manipulate spline "nodes", or "control points" by using these buttons in the tool bar:

EDIT:

Tutorial coming up later today.

It requires modding, of course but it's relatively easy.
Edit: Tutorial is up.
