Dude did you actually read what you quoted? I brought up win rates in response to someone saying DAK was terrible. Didn't say it meant anything was specifically OP, of course it doesn't...
And for the record, i also think DAK would be terrible if you nerfed the crutch units. Hence the second part of my post you also didn't read, you can buff other stuff. It's just a bad faction
FV is everything ppl hated about the original iteration of USF AAHT in coh2. Decent damage, and can suppress well on the move, and it soft counters multiple lights
Eh, I'm tired, might've missed some context. |
Well they lead in winrates in literally every mode so clearly they aren't that bad...
You realize you can buff other stuff when you nerf things, right? The FV is an absurd unit
And if you will check the margins, you will see that this is not 60 to 40%, like it ended up in CoH2 patch to patch regularly.
Game literally was never more balanced, 52% sure is highest win rate, but it does not mean there is anything OP responsible for it. |
Given how the unit is the lynchpin of the whole tier, I wouldn't count on it being touched a lot. |
I think a lot of that is down to the theatre. Italy/Africa just isnt as suited to the classic formula of WW2 perception Hollywood imprinted on us through decades of recycling Normandy landing and Stalingrad.
Fixed for you.
Relic sent out that questioaire at the beginning of developing coh3. "where do you want the game to go etc"
I feel they didnt really have any solid good ideas of what to do with the game, other than elevation which is the only true innovation. They just forced a game out knowing it would sell anyway.
I remember that survey.
Seems like everything players asked for in it arrived in CoH3 and remember, expectations always exceed reality when it comes to games. |
I am not a Coh3 player but I play one on forums: I thought this was the USF meta at the moment. Jeeps that can cap(Vet 1) is a good way to go in my smol mind.
Points to Katitof.
I literally main dak in 2s and play regularly. |
Hold on to your fuel and build support center as well for bazookas.
Alternatively, research early grenades and pick sprint as vet1 rifle ability.
Mechanized with dual vet1 jeep can bully DaK early game even in 2s, but is micro intensive.
First engagement or two, DaK will always win against USF rifle build, so you won't do anything here. |
One complaint of Coh2 was there is no light vehicle play. Coh3 brings us to where peoples complaints brought us. It also matches the war setting in the area.
Another Coh2 complaint was heavy tank stall. Thus light and mediums are the focus. Go ahead and stall for a Tiger, I will have map control with my M8s and Chaffees. Then I will snare and circle your Tiger to death.
It seems like Relic did exactly what people asked for. It just needs more VP tick time (not less), so people can play up to larger tanks before the time runs out.
Up until the last sentence, I agree.
VPs do feel fine, stomps end fast and equal games last due to constant contested VPs.
CoH3 is a result of 10 years of CoH2 feedback and is true spiritual successor to CoH1 with crapload of QoL additions. |
What other objects in Coh3 can be destroyed if you A-Move them?
I have heard streamers saying you cant destroy some cover objects.
I have seen Flame squads destroy items when attacking ground.
I have seen random items get destroyed from small arms fire. Things that should never be destroyed by small arms fire like 3 story fuel cells, walls, etc. This is a major problem for mappers and game play in general.
So it seems like most item are easily destroyed (too easy) but items are not targetable? Is that a word?
Everything with gray healthbar. |
attacking ground
That's your problem.
You need to attack order directly at it. |
I don’t know how you guys play this, but looking at CoH3, CoH2 is an ideal game. CoH3 is just total spam, spam and spam is 1000 times worse than CoH2, there is no concept of combined arms combat here at all. And this was created by the top players in the Company of Heroes. Disgraceful.
I think I have played different coh2 for 800 hours than you have.
The one I have played had at any given patch 3 meta units available for you to use and if you wanted to win a game, you had to spam them.
CoH3 offers incomparably more variety of viable strats right now than CoH2 after 8 years of patches, balancing and doctrine additions.
What kind of scrub level tier you play if you feel like you don't need to use combined arms? This is no longer 1st month brit boys blob balance anymore. |
