Frp are not related as much to unit preservation that they are to reinforce time.
Unit preservation is more related to unit veterancy.
Frp are important because they give more tactical options.
And it why all factions need them.

I'm against removing FRP, because it remove important gameplay options from the game.
Rather, i would give them to all factions with the same timing as the USA major.
How :
Ost:
-Add it as un bunker upgrade (same timing as US major ) using the same upgrade button : can't be on the same bunker as healing or reinforcement.
Sov:
-Add it as an M4 halftrack's upgrade (same timing as US major).
-Make the base medic mobile so they can go to the front.
OKW:
-Add it as an infra-red halftrack's upgrade (same timing as US major).
-Add the healing box supply drop from it. (remove it from pio)
US:
Add it as an ambulance's upgrade (same timing/cost as it was with the major).
Remove it from major.
Now i see it as a balance tweak and an improvement to the game.
This is the way to go.

If Relic would only add a check box that would give the option to queue for regular automatch and/or modded automatch, (meaning both simultaneous or just one type) the testing process would be a lot better/faster.
Then someone would have only to specify which mod he want, then check the relevant option for queuing for both/one type of automatch.
This wouldn't split the community, give faster matches and help the balancing process.

I think it would be useful to prioritize all the changes into 4 level.
So it would be easier to see the whole picture and discuss with the devs.
Example :
Level 1 :
Ost's Stuka dive bomber;
Brit's emplacements;
Call-in;
...
...
Level 2 :
Calliope;
FRP;
...
...
Level 3 :
B4;
...
...
Level 4:
...
...

Interesting idea about delaying OKW's - but: OKW's is a tier structure and so can't be placed as far forward as the Major. He can pack up and move or retreat to avoid being artied to death but the truck can't.
I guess that's why OKW get theirs earlier. It's a trade-off for both. Amis have to wait but get more flexible FRP.
Also, you don't think Brit FRP is a problem?
I say remove 'em all!!!!!!!! Punish the blobbers and inf spammers.
For the Brits, i would lock their retreat point ability (not the building itself) til they have bought either hammer or anvil tech. And it would also be a great time to also unlock the OKW's retreat point ability (not the truck itself). Unlock after 3 or 4 trucks are setup ?
The middle game is a better place for FRP. (to my view)

Very true, I would like to however suggest we don't remove a mechanic that adds fun to the game and makes the OKW feel unique.
I made a suggestion in another thread that I will copy paste here. If we aren't going to fix blobbing I would suggest something like:
I would also keep the FRP for OKW, but i would delay the it to match a realistic window corresponding to when a USA major can enter the field.
No FRP for OST or Soviets. They have others means.

Soviet's Forward headquarters changes are ok, but it must keep some kind of healing aura with renforcements capacity, but no offensive aura.
I would add : only one can exist at a time. If it's destroyed then you can build another and so on. |

Putting demo (with modifs as in above post) for 60 munitions is a choice, you could have use it for weapon upgrades that would have last you for a long time and you couldn't lost it to sweepers (a lost investment).

what sturmpanther said. problem is not the reinforce eventually. problem is the low apm one click retreat behind bush to ur hq. i dont mean you shouldnt be able to do it anymore, you can still do it in front of ur enemy base if u feel like. you just have to care ur units back there, and not have easy way one click out of shit. and in the end. any1 could say ''usf has the same'' well, one stuka barrage to usf forward retreat point and u lose atleast major and ambulance. also usf retreat point cost 120fuel. okw just loses 5% hp from hq if u do the same. But if it bothers some1, should remove all factions frp, to put all factions in same line with this. hts/ambulances,bunkers and trucks still having the heal/reinforce ability, just not the frp.
edit. If u look gentlefoxs stream sometimes, and watch how he uses HT and reinforce ability, for ostheer, thats how every1 else should use it too. requires some work in front line, but eventually if ur opponent doesnt make any move, pays off.
