That ability is super strong in it's current state. The only reason we are not seeing the cries for nerfs is because other UKF tanks are more common and have bigger balance problems. That and the fact it doesn't work half the time when the Comet decides to shoot the ground for no reason.
The oh is weak because of the m5 quad and stuart/m20. the soviets and usf gain so much initiative and a rather huge advantage at the seven minute mark that you have to play a lot better. brits have some problems with churchiil but besides that its a whole lot better balanced.
I very much disagree with this notion. Again, please take the time to see some casts/replays of ocf and ssc4 and you will see some textbook play on how to handle m20s and t70s. In Relic's mind different factions should be strong a different points in the game, and so long as that is true early vehicles need to have a window to inflict damage before hard counter arrive. I'd also suggest trying to go against OH as USF without m20/stuart/aaht or as SU without quad/m3/t70 and see how that works out for ya.
Yea the SU meta vs OH is pretty stale but OH is far from "cheat mode OP" as you claim it.
Really surprised to see the replies stating that OH is weak though, it most certainly isn't. It is in a way better spot balance-wise than OKW and the win-rates will be just fine when the KV8/pack howie/croc/centaur/etc nerfs hit next patch. Go watch the OCF and SSC4 later rounds and finals if you believe otherwise.
I agree that the Brummbar needs a buff, but I think it can come in the form of tweaking it's accuracy or projectile than messing with costs. The same thing can be said about the sherman dozer btw, it is basically a Brummbar lite and it's main gun suffers from the same reliability problems.
I can see making the T4 building slightly cheaper a good change as well. I'd like to have the option to sacrifice mid-game power for a bigger tank as opposed to now when you are better off sticking with T3 in most cases.
Panther is completely fine, no way it needs a buff. Panther with Pak support is incredibly strong.
Could be cool but I don't think it'd be a very good business decision by Relic. Sticking with WWII or venturing into a more tested setting like the modern era would probably be a better bet. I'd personally enjoy it but I don't think a Korean War RTS would attract anyone outside of the rts/coh communities.
I disagree, you either get good AI or good AT - pick one. If you don't feel the upgrade is worth it for AT get a different unit to cover your AT needs, not like you don't have plenty of options by the time shreck pgrens are available.
OP was flaming people and calling them "shitheads" for not playing the game before giving their opinions, too.... Can we get a thread lock? This is a joke.
Yea, pretty embarrassing for Mr. OP. I knew a lot of balance posts come from limited experience playing against something or not playing the opposite faction (good old l2p,) but maybe these reactionary knee jerk posts stem from even less.
Idk, I feel like that could work. Yea it's another piece of micro that you have to deal with but that's a good thing imo - rewards players for proper positioning. As mentioned before, the build and forget nature of pack howie and even more so isg is by far the most frustrating part of the unit.
What is it with Relic's hard on for flame weapons? They are way over-represented in the game as it is. Kinda disappointed they decided on a Flame Hetzer of all things (<50 total built) to give OKW. Also, what was the point of the volk grenade change if they were releasing this commander anyway?
Pershing and rangers though . Not sure if it's the best idea to put both in 1 commander but these two iconic units definitely belong in the game, long time coming.
We had more survivable grens last patch (15% more survivable if I remember correctly) and they were incredibly OP and by far the most cost effective infantry in the game. Grens are fine the way they are.
Pgrens I agree need some tweaking. Not sure about specifics of the changes but they need to be cost effective to the point it makes sense to do something like 3gren/mg/2pgrens. Maybe a slight cost decrease would do the trick, or maybe buffing the G43.
