Ha, find something in this game that DOESN'T lag! |
No AVRE but the Sturm Tiger and Brumbar are fine...?
Hmm...

Agreed, there are no where near enough maps in the automatch list. Community ones should have been added long ago. Using some in multiple game modes is just lazy because there are not enough maps period. Some of the community stuff seriously rocks, and is far more balanced than anythign Relic has ever created. Hell, Relic play them in their casts! Hurry up and add them.
Those who mentioned the dreaded NDA... Relic have seriously no idea on how to promote and market their games. The NDA is far too strong, this isn't the defense industry, let things out early to start hype and get better feedback. The creator of Xbox live said it best - "Dont make software you want, make software your customers want". Relic need to listen a little more, and be more vocal with the community about their plans. |
Commonwealth, rather than just UK. A mix of Aussie, Canadian, Brit, etc. |
The Soviet anti tank bombing run is very powerful and DOES take a lot of health from any vehicle, but I find it most effective at finishing off a vehicle as it limps away.
Btw, the anti tank bombing run works INCREDIBLY well on blobs too. Hit a blob with that thing and it's like an OP fragmentation bombing run. Couldn't believe it when I saw it.

Funny videos from an allied point of view, but if that was me playing axis, it would have destroyed my morale thats for sure!
Does look like the KTs were unmicroed. |
Its the best blob control thing USF have, no doubt. It works especially well on urban maps, or maps with small choke points like gates etc. Hide and then pop out when they are over-blobbed and boom, GG for OKW especially.
Is it OP… no I don't think so. Its powerful sure, but it takes a while to aim, and the unit really doesn't scale that well. Fact of the matter is, if you are blobbing and you see this, then retreat and don't blob, because it will cane your a**.
The rest of the commander is OK. Personally I love it, some others don't. Matter of tactics and personal choice really. |
I had this a couple of times too. I think it may be related to groups of polygons not actual textures. I had certain areas render purple (such as the mini map) where as most other stuff was fine. On the map sometimes one small patch would be purple. But other places using the same visible texture would be fine.
I had a more serious version of this issue a couple of patches back where by the whole map floor or all base buildings etc would be purple and the game was unplayable. Verifying the game files (I think) in steam fixed it. There should be a topic from me in the bugs section about it. Certainly worth trying that anyway - can't do any harm. It may be just one tiny file missing.
Just yet more performance related issues we are being plagued with! :-( |
im thinking of getting the 5k version with the retina display..??
i reckon it should be
You may well have trouble playing CoH2 on that, or any game for that matter. A lot of stuff has real trouble rendering stuff in 4/5k. I don't even know if CoH2 is set up to scale like that, I doubt very much it is. And even if it does, I reckon the sizing etc of the UI and things will be hideous. I wouldn't suggest buying a 5k iMac and running CoH2, unless you have money to burn. Hell, people with Retina MBPs have had similar scaling problems, and not just with CoH2. With retina displays, or displays with really high pixel counts, even normal programs are having trouble scaling and rendering properly, let a long any kind of game engine, especially one as screwed as Relics!
Sorry to be a kill joy, but proceed with caution. |
Inf, by default, try to avoid being run over (obviously). But as mentioned, when caught between the tank and a world object, a crush can occur. It can easily occur in the open as well, as demonstrated in Von Ivans video, simply do a fast turn in the right direction, and bam, you have yourself a crush. It works well with M10s, Jacksons and Panthers. Although, I have done it with a couple of heavys too. Sometimes, the game just cant react fast enough if you are giving the tank lots of move commands into/towards a blob, and thus the infantry dont get out of the way fast enough. Takes a little skill, and a little luck to make it happen.
Very trololol at the right moment. |
