Keep in mind Bofors is a unit, Schwerer is a tier builiding. I used 12 squad of volks and I sent them through Schwerer in the same way. Result? Bofors killed 20 models, Schwerer killed... 18. Anyway it seems that my placement was allot better since in my test the Gun was allot more deadlier... Think! Once they are out of range, why should I wait for them to retreat to the base? I tested 1 squad 10 times... Not at all. I retreated them in pairs, 4x2 squads, 1x1 squad, 1x3 squads. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Pak 43 vs 17 Pounder Population costs.24 Dec 2015, 13:34 PM Jump back to quoted post24 Dec 2015, 13:28 PMATCF Well it has Brace, and cant get stolen or decrewed, just like the British trenches are immune to enemy occupation, but i mean even the ML-20 or the leFH 18 cost 15 pop cap, and those things are rare to be seen in 1vs1 situation, so 14 pop cap for 17pdr is fine for me, but maybe the fuel cost could be reduced to 50 (fuel cost for 17pdr was 75 in COH 1), since bofors is 30fuel And Pak43 can't be destroyed by mortars so easily, can't be destroyed by at guns (when crew is on), can't be destroyed by small arms fire, can shoot through obstacles, it's cheaper. You use brace agasint flames, small arms fire, mortars etc. Pak43 dont need brace casue, except for being decrewed, small arms of flames won't kill it. In: COH2 Balance

If you are claiming that bofors can't kill retreating units you are simply wrong. Here are the result of my test: 10 V.G. retreating past bofors 4 squad wipes 4 left with 1 1 left with 3 outs of 50 entities retreating 7 made. If in you case a single entity made it is simply RNG. And even a single squad did not die that day. 20 models down out of 60, not a single wipe. Plus keep in mind, this was made without fog of war which means even higher efficiency. In: COH2 Gameplay

Sure, it can be decrewed but on the other hand it's not that easy to kill it by mortars (not to metion small arms fire or AT Guns) and I can simply hide it behind shotblockers to surprise my enemy.
