I'm a german player (not fanboy), and I start with gren, pio, mg, mortar, fast 221, ... There need to be a bit more balance, but your argument is invalid and pretty dumb. Yes balance, but stop the whine. You know what they say, don't hate the player, hate the game. I am neither German nor Soviet player. When I play German I like to mix things up too but you have to confront a simple truth that you would know if you played Soviets this patch: 90% of people you play against build at least 4 Grens and most build 5. So while you may be a noble exception, most people are abusing the fuck out of Gren spam and Pio spam and that's what anyone playing Soviets has to face. In: COH2 Gameplay

Most were just Conscript starts. Since the patch, I've seen a lot more variety with them. These include T1 and T2 starts along with a sprinkling of Cons. I also see some variety in German starts but not as much, people tend to play it safer here although I have seen the German snipers more often. People use BOs that work. The reason you see Soviet "variety" is that Soviets are struggling to counter OP German units. The reason you see less German variety is that Germans have BOs that deliver easy wins. Simple as that in my book. Having said that, the general direction of the patch is good - they just need to get the balance right now. In: COH2 Gameplay

Good to hear. Molotovs can't be thrown from the edge of the MG42s arc. You actually have to rush in to where it hurts, lose 3-4 models and then retreat. And a good player will reposition his MG42 once the conscripts are suppressed right away. Rifle grenades don't require you to leave cover and expose yourself and can be fired from very far away and don't give the maxim time to reposition. Even if it did reposition, it wouldn't help as the rifle grenade range is almost the same as the maxim's and at Vet2, grens can actually fire it further than the maxim range. It's getting to that stage of my fanboy detector firing that I'm wondering if you actually play Soviets? (scorecard plx) In: COH2 Balance
