I wouldn't go for windows 7. It may not matter that much when you have such a good rig but both windows 8.1 and windows 10 have eat up much less performance than windows 7, if I was willing to pay that much for computers performance I would like to have every tiny bit of it. It's important to clean install windows 10 instead of doing the "upgrade" microsoft advertises but that is not a problem in your case since you buy new pc. Windows 10 also has some cool new features but they are not really important for gaming.
As for the rest I agree with ciez, especially on the 4K part. You may think that people will buy 4K screens sooner or later but in fact its not only about the really expensive screen. Its also that there is much less computers able to decode and display 4K stream than you would expect, most processors get eaten up when people watch hd streams. Its ofc mostly becouse of flash performance but not only. A few years ago video cards were sold with a HD in name and that was for a reason if you know what I mean. |
That's what I call warm welcome |
Most of the maps are fine as there is nothing to say 'this is definitely Russia' or 'or this is France, not Eastern Germany/Prussia or Poland' aside from the occasional orthodox church. However, if I had my way, the British and Americans wouldn't fight alongside the Russians, but I'm probably a minority.
But, this thread is not about eastern front units fighting in the west or vise versa, so please try to stay on topic.
There are many more inconsitencies than that. For example osheer soldiers always refer to their opponents as 'soviet pigs' or 'communists' even if these are wearing american uniforms. Same goes for OKW soldiers, they think everybody is either american or german. I doubt we will ever get rid of such immersion killers. |
The problem with COH2's VA is that most of the new DLC units are simply reused voice from other units (Pershing, Callie, Land Mattress, M3 HT, 251 HT). Same with commander abilities, COH1 VA is much more varied.
Yeah, the only thing that I don't like is generic lines like the "ability is ready" one. It becomes boring so quickly. |
I wouldn't say that the quality is worse, the style is just different, some say that it's less cartoonish. Some like one style others like the other... It actually adds immersion if that's what you expect. |
Right, so I expect to see brace on the Pak 43 and OKW Flak next patch, along with both no longer being possible to decrew.
What's that? That would be horrible?
Huh. Who would have thought.
If pak43 got swapped with 17-pdr nothing would change, still nobody would build any of these |
It is frustrating at the beginning but at some point you realise that you're better off microing your precious vehicle on your own either way and you forget about it. |
well give Bofors to other faction too so we can play defend the castle
I don't think there is more than 20% of campers in this game Also, ostheer active defence is much more interesting than emplacements IMO. |
Moderately nefarious
Like Don Draper, you are moderately nefarious. You walk on the dark side of humanity, but your ruthless streak may just help you get ahead.

Me too maybe that just means "you are resonable"? |
In fact there is nothing wrong with bofors performance. The problem is the cost. But how to increase realistic cost without making its arrival too late? Its simple and it already works great in case of 17-pdr - you just increase its pop value (also called maintance cost). That means player has to focus his strategy around the bofors if he chooses to build one and that he can't spam emplacements. Especially he cant build too big of an army hiding behind the emplacement wall. IMO increasing the pop is ultimate solution to emplacement problem - doesn't make them useless but you need to thing before building one. What do you think? |
