He has the most important function, keeping the sniper team alive lol..
Ah and btw I would love to see a player post a replay of them beating sniper+scout cars on langre. Of course ideally it would be nice to have a soviet player who had some skill and wasn't a complete noob.. I have gone from stagnant soviet play hovering around ELO 50s-60s to destroying everyone (top 10 players included) and being in 30s... In just a few games... It doesn't even have to be guards with snipers because I just get at nades. Always works... I almost feel cheap doing it.
Well, some strats are map dependent and lang being not in coh2 design spirit as its a port asked for imbalances since day one.
It is a fun map, but its not balanced, nor coh2 suitable.
Heavy mortar, M3 sniper, PaK43, elephant(or any 100 range vehicle), bunkers, all of that is batshit OP on that map, so I wouldn't use it as justification example. |

Use the su85's then. oh wait you cannot use them because you have no concept of combined arms scouting or strat. you have not given me a good reason on the other hand why a panther should lose to t-34 + some AT. it goes against the very principality of combined arms of coh when you can just spam 2 units and easily win.
Great idea! If only soviets had SU-85 in T3 or german players were retarded enough to sit before AT gun for 20 seconds until it kills their tiger/panther, well, maybe thats how you play and think this is sufficient way? That would explain a whole lot of things coming from your madman's mumbling.
dude, you're as mad as it can get, you most likely have 0 games as soviets, you're retarded enough to suggest getting T%3 AND T4 as soviets, why do you expect anyone to take your rants seriously?
I answer to them only because I love arguments, but even that have its limits and it feels like it would be easier to talk sense into wiking then you. |

awesome arguments
Beats yours "remove ram because T3 should be vet factory for panzers" by miles. |
Saying radio is fine is like saying maphack is fine
Saying radio intercept is a map hack is like saying SU-76 is a tank hunter.
You want to see maphack? Try interrogation. |
Since few are using it anyway, exchanging some of the abilities couldn't hurt.
Put guards instead, in all of them and there! NKVD have something appealiong suddenly(guards+prop arty), AA have early game presence and guards match advanced warfare anyway and german whiners don't have to deal with "op information about what they have built" everyone happy! |

If germans had ram it would never be used, because it would be rained by AT nades before it would get halfway to the target.
Is it so hard to do the same as germans?
And saying T3 should have no at? How biased can you be? Maybe to balance that, german T3 also should have short barreled P4 and StuG? Are you up for that? Then it would be balanced! You would have 3 AI vehicles in T3 for both factions and 1 AT in T4, perfectly balanced game and no ram if you ask me!
All you need to do is say how much you love this idea, because its perfect for you. You need AT? You have T2 and T4 for it. |

Because:
1)Relic never removed an ability from the game and somehow I doubt it will change and for the 2nd part, because 34/85 is a completely different tank, its not upgunned sherman where only cannon was different. Upgrading 34/76 to 34/85 makes as much sense as upgrading 34/76 to KV-1.
And
2)Thats probably mechanically impossible. |
Can we get this "soviet unit killed my ubermensh" thread locked already? |

I dont have any problems when Ram disables german medium tanks like the ostwind, stug, panther, panzer 4 or brummbar. But disabling a heavy and expensive vehicle like the Tiger or Elefant, to me, thats just silly and shouldnt exist.
That is exactly why ramming have a penetration that is much lower then heavy tank armor.
Even vet1 tiger have 0 problems escaping ram and it isn't particularly hard to not overextend tiger until vet1.
Elephant is batshit OP since its only weakness, infantry AT, doesn't exist on soviet side and even shooting at its rear T34 have 50% to penetrate, if that doesn't account for OP, then TA was perfectly balance as well. |

Every game developer wants their game to become an eSport. People who want this game to have longevity want the game to become an eSport. Hell, the game doesn't even need to be an esport; people will play it competitively anyway. How can people expect to play a game competitively, however, when an ability like ram exists in which the tide of a game can be turned completely without any skill input what so ever?
And you base that assumption on what?
Because relic specifically said they do NOT aim at esport. Still want to prove that you know better then relic?
The outcome of a PFaust or an ATnade will rarely influence the outcome of a game anywhere near as much as Ram. With ram, you could potentially be knocking out an extremely expensive piece of armor your enemy has saved up for for a good 10 minutes or so whereas with a PFaust or ATnade, you're, at the most, simply delaying it.
I don't know what mines have to do with anything. Placement of a mine is completely skill based. :/ RNG doesn't randomly put mines on the map for you.
What? I don't even need to counterargument that, thats how silly it is.
And yeaaaa, ohh that mine skill, I need to be a pro to place a mine in a narrow way, before 3 digit ladder position I couldn't even find a mine button.... |
