Both and neither.
Ppsh won't help you in getting that MG42 out of building, molotov will and faust alone won't kill you that tank but shrecks will.
Its not black white case, its gray area. |
Actually I believe this was in coh1 as well.
Can't remember over the memory of ever present infantry blobs. |
That isn't even funny, ya know?
I know.
This is my way of showing compassion to people who are so clueless that they can't even tell the difference between 40 and 60 range. |
This things needs to stay on top. |
Sherman with a range of 60?
what the fuck were you smoking??
The best german BIAS you can get.
Add some delusions and a spoon of misinformation and infect into yourself.
You'll see things that aren't there and be as high as nebel rocket can get you. |
Makes me wonder why no one really posted that up until now, so here it is.
Cover seeking. The little culprit that wants to help you by bringing you a hot coffee cup, but all it does is tripping over its own legs and spilling all the hot black ambrosia on you, making you cry and want to kill it.
How many times have you had the situation, where you place your infantry in that crater or behind that wall, or by that tree only to see half of the squad say "fuck you, I know better you idiot commander" and rush happily into the open to catch all the butterflies erm... bullets.
How many times were your troops standing perfectly well behind a cover and unloading at HMG when LMG gren or guard decides to jump away and lie on the ground, because he likes grass/dirt/snow much more then stone wall.
Its pretty ok if you just place them, but (rng)god forbid you order them to attack specific target, hell breaks loose and battle hardened veterans instantly turn into 4-6 man flying circus going all over the place despite the target being not even at max range.
So, the thing I'd like to see is exactly the same thing that eventually got into DoW2, reduced cover seeking.
If I place my infantry somewhere, I WANT them to be there, not dance around pretending to be monkeys.
I can understand and support why they scatter when they got hit by grenade, mortar, molotov or suppression, but (rng)GOD I'm going mad when my squads do everything and anything to not stay where I want them and if that wasn't enough, they absolutely LOVE to do squats and pushaps in 10 different places before they finally find their confy spot in red cover.
So, Reric, can I haz decreased auto cover seeking because it does more harm to gameplay then it does to enhance immersion? |
You have no idea how annoying that can be when you try to make guards attack that 222, but first they dance like retarded chickens and then think how to point the rifle correct way. By that time AC is far away.
Compared to shreck instant aim and fire.... yea.
And PTRS do not even have the range advantage anymore which kind of explained the aim time. |
Also vCoH german vet didn't provided any offensive bonuses, it was 100% defensive.
Thou I do miss vet1 self regen, that thing was great.
I'd much rather see vet1 passive bonus added for infantry instead of medkits and loltrip mines. |
Oh and since its a mine discussion, I've learned a new thing today.
Laying mine near crawling, dying germsn soldier=bad idea. |
@Basilone
No, each faction is supposed to have UNIQUE playstyle. Germans still have advantage in AT infantry and long range combat.
Neither is supposed to have any advantages. We've had that kind of balance for past 10 months, didn't proved to be working.
CoH1 balance also isn't important at all, because its not CoH1, its CoH2, the new game. |
