However to get banned from the game itself, you were toxic pos and that's end of story. This is no FPS, there is zero reason to react with anything else then /l when things go unsalvageable bad. I have never played Scheldt but I do know (and I am reasonably certain that you do also), that SP was the majority of the base for COH1 - people that were never seen in MP and probably never even signed up to gameplays.org or this site. I fully realize how much AI casuals love this map, its their blood and bones. But it also can not be denied how small multiplayer map pool is, especially since all the maps are exclusive and there is no map overlap between the modes, which made CoH2 look like it had much more maps on release. Coh3 has been sold as a single player game with an ersatz of multiplayer and you guys are gauging the game popularity based on multiplayer KPIs. That's not wrong. To us, CoH is all about multiplayer, but it is not multiplayer only game, nor it is heavily monetized life service. Multiplayer retention is of little relevance for Relic, we paid for the game and they got the money, they are not getting anymore out of us if we keep playing or not. Retention is needed for healthy multiplayer matchmaking, not for profit. In: COH3 Central

Its the retention they have failed with due to obvious reasons and anyone who played the game will realize easily how it was made on a smaller budget then CoH2 was given how scope of everything but factions themselves being very much diminished. You cannot "review your priorities" out of this situation. The all too familiar formula: 1. New unfinished game, Beta with many problems. 2. Release it anyway, people hate it, population drops to unsustainable levels 3. Statement "We missed the mark", but we are in for the long haul, yet not a single obligation, just vague promises and roadmaps 4. 6-12 months later "Incredibly difficult decision to move on" The June/July content of this game has been made prior to layoffs. 3 maps and some battlegroups.
