And your friend can compensated the negative effect phase But even in 1vs1, if you have done damage, even if you have to back after, you have take an advantage during the figth that can be used after (more troups, veterancy, etc....) The most important thing is the speed bonus. Go in close combat at full speed. Stop for better accuracy. Kill everything around. Easy. It can also force a fortified position. Or help to kill PAK quickly. No infantry can stop ST during mother russia bonus. (A build order something like C/C/C/ST/ST/ST can work well.) Even conscripts, maxim, ziz can benefit a lot of the bonus. If the combat zone is very concentrate, it give you the advantage. Of course you MUST NOT FIGTH during the negative part. Thread: akosi's strategy16 Jan 2014, 08:42 AM We tried yesterday with my partner in 2vs2. We don't like it both. Too many grenaders, panzergrenader or assault grenaders for 2-3 snipes handle them in 2vs2. It is a very all-in strat. If snipe don't do damage or worst if you lose one, you have a big disadvantage. And there is a very weak point to ostwind and P4. Guards can't kill them. They can't even button them if the german is aware on smoke screen. Your partner needs then to handle T3 alone. (german T3 rush is before T34-85) The 2 game we done was on open map so with lot of way to flank snipe. On a smaller map it can be better. But german start with 3x double assault grenaders (seen yesterday) will counter it well. Perhaps in 1vs1 it is better also because there is less infantry. In: Red Army Strategies
Thread: Germans OP (ACE pgrens)15 Jan 2014, 10:55 AM With a friend we only play 2v2 and we also had some difficulties against late game and particularly tiger and ace tiger. The best options in late game we have found that work pretty well are : with free commander - IS2 !!! (i recommend one go on this !) - T34 spam only for ram all Tiger if possible on flank or rear with IS2 and ziz doing damage with dlc commander - KV1, B-4 203mm (KV1 need to be combined with something else for damage). But it can not work well with a good focus of the German players on IS2. KV1 are here for tanking tiger. They have difficulties to perforate tiger armor. B-4 is very good to finish Tiger with recon to find damaged tiger. - KV2 but they have to be protected!! (T34 RAM, Ziz) For grenader and panzer grenader.
