It's pretty much instant to cancel them and just immediately drive away, plus it's free to dig in. How is a hulled down tank any more fragile than just a normal stationary tank? It's not that they're more fragile, but it's due to the fact their standing still which leaves them vulnerable to long-range AT in general, particularly ATGs. It also limits your ability to respond to mobile Allied armour and this is furthered by the fact you need an infantry squad to hulldown the tank in the first place. It's not a garbage ability, but unlike some abilities, its situational which is ideal in more urban maps where you can't bring up long-range AT without being fired upon or you want to set a defensive position in an open map and force out ATGs. Soviet HT has 28.5 armour frontally 20 rear. 251 has 9 armour for the front, 4.5 for the rear. Main reason damage is not as noticeable compared to the 222 is the 80+ health it has over it. Thread: Putting Away Minesweepers 12 Oct 2015, 21:23 PM What about making the sweepers for Soviets, Ostheer, and possibly USF give a slight boost to repairs to begin with? You already trade out combat power on a squishy unit and while mines would be a good way to vet them up, it's still very dependent on things being detonated. Would also be nice for the EFA. Yes, generally they'll have more Pios/CE than RE(unless spammed), Sappers(questionable), and Sturms, but non-doctrinally, they have no way to bolster their repairs outside of vet. In: COH2 Gameplay

I think the regular Pathfinder squad can keep giving out the vet even when the original entities die as the modifier is set to permanent. Have to do more testing with apply_to_entity stuff. I'm not home so I can't double check anything. I'm just going off what I remember. Could've sworn it was entity specific But for received accuracy most squad's get the modifier is categorized as apply_to_squad. If it applied to entity you'd have the issue where new member wouldn't get those bonuses as they applied to the original members. Here's a video explaining things. Note that the penetration boost to the Conscript rifles is labelled similar to what you get with accuracy so apply_to_weapon and apparently those bonuses do carry over upon merging. The vet modifiers to received accuracy MIGHT go away upon changing squads, I'd have to double check deep into the files. But logically, unless there's a code somewhere that says otherwise, there's no reason for an entity specific property to not transfer everywhere the squad member "goes" But base received accuracy definitely transfers, and that alone is enough to merge constantly, IMO. Not sure if the merge action and recrewing cancels out boosts to accuracy, I'd have to test, but received accuracy is a squad modifier for most units in their veterancy, not an entity modifier. Thread: October Balance Preview12 Oct 2015, 00:20 AM Jump back to quoted post11 Oct 2015, 22:34 PMKatitof I'd rather see its rear armor being vulnerable then front one being stripped to medium tank level. This thing was more durable then Tiger I and right not its a slower, stock KV-1. The only unit that would benefit would be the Panzer IV and Pumas as the rear is 180 so any real AT will still penetrate if the Churchill decides to face its rear towards the enemy. Even Shreks will go through the majority of the time when firing at max range(160 pen). Even then and now flanking makes no difference towards engaging a Churchill aside from blocking due to its enormous health pool which is its greatest strength whereas a KV-1 relies far more on armour due to its 800 hp where if it is flanked, it'll die much faster. It only takes 1 more shot to kill over a medium tank unlike the Churchill. If it really needs the armour, as I said, make it around the 240-260 mark. In: Lobby
