However if that's the only thing you change, USA as a faction will become incredibly weak in a competitive sense. They also need buffs to their weaker stuff right now. The 75mm howitzer is pure anus, for example. OP's suggestions of stripping out weapons from officer squads is just... wow. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: US troops vs HMG1 Jul 2014, 02:10 AM IMO MGs should automatically get a "free reload" (without any animation) if there have been no enemies in it's LoS in the last 30 seconds (or X amount of time, exact value not important). That would prevent the irritating problem of "Omg enemy spotted! fires 5 rounds and then has to reload" that sometimes happens, without requiring a manual reload button. In: COH2 Balance

On average, with old and with new systems on half map you got the same amount of income as with the new one(actually new system is slightly more rewarding). Difference is, as I've said, in old system it was all about campfest and with new, its important to have map control. I know OKW was always benefited by it disproportionately, what I was saying was that was the only difference between what we have now and a theoretical alternative where we just make the units more costly and don't worry about changing the income values. Thread: OKW Economy.29 Jun 2014, 08:40 AM What's odd to me is that after the changes from the Alpha, why they didn't just scale up the fuel costs of everything and let them have normal resource income to correspond to that. The only difference between that and now is that now if you have an Ostheer player who can give fuel to you with their doctrine (LW supply or whatever), the fuel they give you is proportionally more valuable.
