Thread: Suggestion: Defensive Buildings29 Jul 2014, 23:38 PM On some maps the Fighting Position you can build with Rear Ech are bloody amaznig. You throw the squad inside and you get unlimited rifle nades that fire every 4-5 seconds or something. Sometimes it's worth spending the 150 manpower or w/e it is just to clear one building quickly or turn the tide of an iminent battle. In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: US faction too effective?29 Jul 2014, 03:13 AM A bit too strong in 1v1, pretty weak in 2v2 unless you have Soviet as the second player to provide late game staying power (or so I'm told, my AT partner is also USF). Early game is very good, lategame is very poor, unless you have the Easy 8, in which case late-game is "ok". In team games late game occurs way more often, ergo the imbalance between solo strength and team game weakness. There's no... Brummbar. There's no... 251/17 Flak Halftrack. Having no dead-weight units give them great flexibility. Even calling these three "dead weight" units is harsh but there are factors that hurt them. I consider the Pack Howitzer to be dead weight. We tried it post-buff in the last patch but it still hardly seems to scratch anything. It is really ineffective consdiering it's cost! In: COH2 Balance

It probably does have some utility against forward bases / MGs in buildings, but I'd rather have the M8 Scott all day every day, since that has substantial utility as a supporting unit, comes sooner, is cheaper to replace if you lose it etc. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Corp's Rifle Company Build Video27 Jul 2014, 13:43 PM My AT partner and I have been doing a Rifle Company / AB company build recently. It works fairly well but we often have difficulty late game. Although I will say that it feels much "fairer" in the late than it used to before we had access to the Easy 8. It's kind of stunning how much the fight shifts in our favor now that we have a somewhat resilient generalist tank to form the core of our armor. Still an uphill slog, but more manageable. My build is currently: Rifle Rifle Vet Rifle LT MG AAHT Major + Ambo (not necessarily together but ambo comes out at all sorts of different times depending on how the game is flowing) Scott Easy 8 until the cows come home Basically the major thing is that I'm not getting captain, my AB partner is providing the AT guns. Do you consider this a flaw? If so please explain your reasoning. In: US Forces Strategies
