Thread: Solid builds for OH/OKW 2v2s?27 Aug 2014, 04:49 AM Switching back into Axis for the first time since WFA came out. I've started using OKW and my partner is on OH. We got to <2000 in 2v2 before WFA came out so we have some idea of how ostheer runs. Although now that new factions are out, we're way out of shape just dealing with Americans, and my inexperience with OKW is also hurting us. Don't have any replays but I'm more looking for general build orders and units to aim for in this kind of matchup. We've already learned the hard way the importance of sticking together when there's Americans around in the early game, lol. My current BO is something like Volks x3 -> Med truck -> I don't know what I'm doing oh god Partner goes Gren MG Gren Gren -> T2 -> Pak Pak -> T3. In: Strategy Desk

The 50 cal crew drops like flies. If it was a 6 man weapon team instead of 4 and had cheaper reinforce costs it would be one of the best in the game (maybe slightly worse than MG34 in terms of cost effectiveness). But it has 4 men, which makes it one of the worst. Not because of its damage or supression, which are both good, but because of its incredibly poor survivability. Outside of the faction DPS discrepancy which others have already mentioned, it's extremely sluggish to retreat, one of the worst weapon teams in that respect. MG play from USF is not very effective because of the great difficulty in keeping them alive. Captured MG34s are enormously more effective in US hands than the 50 cal is. In: COH2 Balance

Back when they had 25% accuracy buff instead of a 25% recieved accuracy penalty, it was a fine unit. One of the better MGs. But it wasn't a balance issue, or OP. Now it's quite weak. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Spamm or skill ?26 Aug 2014, 03:47 AM In a 2v2 game with double USF you'll see six rifle squads on the field, minimum. It can certainly FEEL like spam if your opponents are coordinating their units well. There's just no other viable build unless you've gone Mech/Armor and you decide to throw one asseng or WC51 into the mix. In: COH2 Balance

I would go as far as to call it bullshit, in fact. Is there any other way in the game you can spend munitions to get a unit? The fact that it comes with a powerful strafe too makes it a fucking incredible ability. Falschirms in general are fine as a unit, though. Not unmanageable at all. In: COH2 Balance
