There is no series of games quite like CoH. Every time I lose it feels like I lost because of bullshit. It's usually not until I reevaluate it from spectating that I realize mistakes I made. When I win it's pure skill, when I lose it's because the game is shit.



My 2v2 buddy is way worse. I swear a bit out loud sometimes, he full on quits the game for weeks at a time after a particularly bad loss. And frequently makes snide comments to the effect of "NICE BLOB" in the chat. Lol. Somehow we're not even that bad on the scael of it though, based on how many people we've met that have had utter meltdowns in the chat swearing and cursing at us when we beat them.

17 pounder and other British "HV" weapons like the Comet's main gun do not have a projectile, and so they do not hit on attack ground 99.99% of the time. This also causes the stupid "animation looks like it hit but it actually didn't" stuff.

Grenade toss gets cancelled all the time.

Smoke/white phos shell command gets cancelled all the time.

Really frustrating unit to use, even though it's still worth building.

Still stunned how much of a regression CoH2 was even a year after launch in so many ways.

But yeah obviously we should have this.

I always thought the high HP was dumb, IMO it should be high armor, standard heavy HP (like 1280hp with good armor). 150 fuel is fine for a mediocre offensive tank with serious defenses.

Just got through one of those shit games where it's a slow grinding loss you see coming 30 minutes away but can't prevent.

Was playing that 2v2-3v3 map that is full of tight streets that always have mines and axis players lock down with bunkers / mgs / etc. The problem is that I can't work out what I'm supposed to do to counter large scale indirect as UKF. Mortar pits are useless because they get countered so hard by the very thing they are supposed to counter. Arty flares are useless, the base 25 pounders are hopeless even against static structures. Sexton is useless, it comes fairly late and is extremely weak.

Second question, how do I counter the enemies grabbing every building in the universe? Are grenades actually my only option until a fukken churchil croc? The enemies get their endless streams of mortars and sometimes flamer pios so even when I get to the critical buildings first, it's only a temporary victory.

I have a parter going USF, and obviously on that map he should go rifle doc for flamers, but even then the indirect murders us half the time. Obviously some UKF and USF players are doing really well, what is the damn meta other than "lol just go rifle every game"?!
