Ok there are too few objects and the duplicates are necessary! But why give the same faceplate in the same double drop??????? I have tons of this pointless faceplates, what value can they have??

Hi All I'm a casual player of coh/coh2 and i always had doubts about the mechanics and the strategies behind this game!

I try to explay my self in the easiest way because English in not my strength.

Why build a versatile army, whith differents units, give less "reward" than spam or make only one kind of unit?
I know that in a game with so few type of units is mandatory make 2/3 of the same one but in coh2 is almost all about spam!!!!

Well is an exaggeration, but is the first period conscript spam was the most reliable tactics for soviet, then m3, now maxim or what else. Then also for ostheer grens spam became the best thing to do. Even with the new faction: riflemen spam/blob and for okw the best tactics seems to be the panzerfusilier spam!

About me this is wrong, even just the idea is wrong! Coh2 is a rts/strategy game but where is the strategy if i just blob everything i have and i rush into the enemy face!

Is this a relic policy to make the thing easier? Why not make some kind of malus if i keep too many unit together (or a aim bonus if my enemy attacks with more than 2/3 units).
Relic should push to make the game more tactical, player should think about flank, make different strategies, not always the same!

Anyone have my thoughts? Let me know

PS. This is not another topic about: "ohhhh this is op, ohh nerf that!1!!!111"" i wanna just see if i'm the only one who think that coh2 lacks in strategy

Hello to everyone, I want try to share my "new" strategy. Is not really different to a standard german strategy but i wanna share with everyone and listen to some advices

I start choosing the Mechanized Assault Commander and calling in 1 Assault Grenadier while my pioneer ends to build the German Infanterie Kompanie.
After this i send the pio squad to cap (usually) the cutoff point, then I make this build order: 1x MG42 2x Grenadiers 1x Sniper.
I find this build order very good because the assault gren permit me to place the mg42 to the defense of the cutoff point waiting for the other 2x Grenadiers squads. In the end the sniper come out when the first shock troops or guard inf come out and i find very very useful (i have to say thanks to StephennJF, he makes know the sniper power )

At this point i tech to tier 2 and i call back my pioneer build the second structure. Now i dont usually go for the Mechanized Assault Group because is very expensive in terms of manpower and i always can not afford the cost and i need my panzergrenadier to support my army, so i call normally the PGs and not using the commander ability. Now my opponet may have notice that i have a heavy infatry army so maybe is going to call a t70 or a t34 and i go for a pak40 and the for a StugIII E in case of T70 presence.

Now i have some problems. I dont know if is good tech only to tier 3 and go for Panzers ecc or waiting a bit and tech for Panthers ecc
Usually if i have hold my fuel and a good number of strategic point i'm floating with the fuel so i can afford T4 but i dont know if is a good choice in 1vs1. Maybe is better go tier 3 and saving for the Tiger tank? i don't know

I find this strategy balanced and not munition depended like can be a g43 strat. You can use you muni in different ways: reinforce your grens with lmg, maybe upgrade an amored car or a halftruck with fire if i have infantry problems or upgrade PGs with shreks, lay mines, ecc you can do you need/prefer. And the light arty barrage can be very useful to move your enemy!

That's it Is a simple strat with the doubt if is better go for t3 or t4 If someone have advices to improve it i will be grateful. I share it for this (and because there isn't nothing really new )

Hi Strategist! I have a couple of question for you

(I mostly play germans)

1- I use a build order very similar to the Stephenn ones with 2 Gren, Mg42, Gren, and then a support group again. Now usually i build the t2 and i do 2 pg. In the last few matches i try to do 1 scout car or an Halftruck and then a pg. Problem!! SC and HF are going down in a real short period in my games :/ I m not using them like an assault kamikaze unit. usually they are behind some infantry, but with guards or the oorahhh + At nades the soviet are always able to kill my light vehicles. What i'm doing wrong?

2- How can i counter the soviet sniper? SC? --> look above. Usually a player who uses sniper have guards in protection. I try everything: mortar, flank with heavy assaults of gren, nothing work fine what can i do?
