Thread: Why is IS2 so godly, and tiger is so shitty?18 Jan 2014, 21:42 PM Outside the elephant its frontal armor is thebhihhest in game. Its just thenPak 43 has 100% Pen on everything and can kill any SU tank in three shots. And Panthers have high Pen and the same hps. Imho the IS2 should have Tiger HPs instead of a panthers. Since ost has so many high pen units SU might as well ignore the armor stat and focus on hps. In: COH2 Balance

But not as cost efficent as Pgrens damage wise. If you put a weight on dps and kept it the same weight for STs shocks would do even more damage than Pgrens. Shocks come ahead only with armor. If you nullify the armor your left with more expensive and less effecrive AI. Pgrens once again do more damage. If course STs dont care because they are made of titanium. But all other infantry gets treated like altar boys in the catholic church. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Panzergrens18 Jan 2014, 20:59 PM I have faced Penals dozens of times. Twice ive bewn satchel owned. One time i was miceoing another battle. The other rime he was genius and hid qirh trusight and remaining hidden had his ine penal run around rhe corner and tossed it on my mg mortor and pak. I have also theown it hundreds of times. And hit a few. Pgrens melt face every time. I am sure if rwlic bothered to pull unit kill stats Pgrens would always come out way ahead of penals....satchel or no. And they cost the same and perform the same function. Pgrens imho are the very best AI in the game for cost... In: COH2 Balance

I blame bad quality control and piss poor incident response in Relics part. They shoukd have hotfixed it by now. Their response on this has been second rate. I've experienced both scenarios. As have I. But Muffin is right 90%ish Grens are retreating. This is why i employ the same tactic i have had to use against Pgrens for months....two Hmgs... Gren Gren Mg Mg will beat 4X script into shocks every time if you at least have the most basic micro. In: COH2 Balance

This is what made strategic play and flanking rewarding. Due to the durability of units(primarily infantry), that strategic play and flanking no longer even exists except where a set-up position is in play. My Grens can duke it out with Conscripts for unnaturally large periods of time. It bogs down gameplay, rewards nooby play and minimizes effort. This is my biggest complaint. Cover often hurts. More so the Ost i think. Grens tend to velcro themselves to green cover and they fight you when you tell them to move. This makes dodging molos hard. Look at what LMGs do to scripts. This is how both sides infantry in the open should fair. In: COH2 Balance

The IS-2 is definitely not OP if the German player goes T4. It costs 240 fuel and it is not cost effective when fighting German heavy armor (Tiger and Panther). A well Handled panther, which costs 95 IIRC less fuel will maul IS-2's in direct confrontation which is not a good sell for the IS-2. If a german players insists on going T3, the IS-2 will wreak them. The Tiger I will beat a IS-2 in a duel, no problem. The IS-2 fires too slowly and the Tiger's armor & hp is higher. The IS-2's strength is making the Germans bleed manpower and clearing out the Pak guns. It's a bit of a mixed weapon, expensive, strong AI and blasts away medium armor but is overall not cost effective against heavy armor. The Tiger tank ime is fine when it's the first tank you call in (and if you don't do any teching) as you can catch the soviets with their pants down. Otherwise, they are too slow and can get ambushed pretty badly if they're too far forward. Compared to the Panthers, they are overall inferior by late game. My preferred heavy tank combo is Panther + Brumbar (love it). I use the Brumbar to bleed manpower, destroy zis, and stun soviet tanks. The Panther kills the tanks. +1 I do the same. I have found that a supported brumbar can take on all Soviet medium tanks. And i follow it with a Panther. I like having AT nade and Ram bouncing tanks. And god help tue Soviet player when you get vet 2.... In: COH2 Balance
