Don't listen to what the above have said, let's be realistic. There are huge advantages to be able to drive a higher frame rate especially with a higher hz rate monitor.
The key is being able to match a stable FPS with a locked hertz rate on your monitor.
Graphics are unimportant, having a higher FPS is king.
Work out your average FPS, lock it using a program such as rivatuner and enjoy the advantages you get as a result. Obviously, FPS games will get the greatest advantage but having a stable FPS on even a RTS is a huge advantage.
Your best bet is too google battle nonsense, watch his youtube videos. Man is smarter than all of us and has some amazing videos that will benefit almost all of you.

I'm a huge fan of the balance team, the state the game is in is flat out impressive.
In saying that, I think I along with many others, are also frustrated at one of the most annoying aspects of the game.
No skill Abilities.
I get the concept of balance, I get the big picture.
The truth is, something needs to be done about an ability that simply is click and deny an entire area from use for incredibly, periods up to 60 seconds.
How about the incredibly (beyond my pay grade) balance team have a chat about how they could seriously improve the game by simultaneously nerfing all of the abilities that are click and win.
I know that there has to nuance to it, but realistically, abilities which last 10 seconds or more are not good for the game.
I'm not advocating for removal for any particular faction, I'm simply thinking about what would make COH2 a more competitively entertaining game.

Fair point, I'm just stoked that Relic were smart enough to delegate balancing to smart members of the community.
Can't believe how good this game is now, thought I was burned out on Company of Heroes and I'm shocked how a company that could fuck up something so great and turn it all around.

You may have read everything that I wrote but you clearly didn't understand it despite me explaining it a second time, hopefully third is the charm.
I don't have a problem with anyone who expresses themselves in a open and honest discussion politely even if its a simplistic and ill thought out response.
I made it very clear in the first sentence that I previously have run E-Sport events for many years and it's incredible the level of disrespect people can have for something they don't even pay for run by volunteers because they love doing it for the community. I also clearly had a go at Relic but then offered them praise for finally making and supporting the game so well. They got my money with the brits and now several commanders as well, well deserved. In fact, I would go a lot of further and say they have created the best RTS that has ever been made and by a long way.
I also spoke very highly of the community balance team, I've had a chance to have a chat with Miragefla and a few others and they all seem to grasp what makes a good E-Sport and it clearly shows with win rates and competitiveness in the latest competitions.
Its basic human 101, appreciate those that help you out for free. Basic human 101 is also sticking up for people who deserve it, the community mods. Both of them were deservedly called out for the behavior and the end result was one of them chucking a hissy fit and taking his ball home. The other, was remembered by multiple players here for being a rude little man and how hypocritical he was actually being.
It's people like that who ruin it and make volunteers quit because being treated like a cunt when you are paid for it is bad enough but being treated like a cunt when you are doing it for free just makes people consider giving up and stop volunteering.
It's what I did.

Whatever the merits of the current balance team - and I know nothing about them or who they are - they are evidently not people concerned with polish or professionalism.
James Hale, completely fitting my description to a tee.
It's really the only solution, because no one on in this community mod team, or Relic (whatever remains of Relic) has the big picture vision to understand asymmetric balance and strategic, vs, by-the-numbers, unit-vs-unit balance. It really is that simple and that stupid a game now.
Sluzbenik, perfect example of a guy looking at the teeth of the horse he got for free and being a cunt about it.
OK so basically you take a massive shit on everyone at Relic and on the forum, then accuse this James guy of being the cunt because he expresses an opinion about the current state of balance?
If you actually took a little more time and read what I wrote, you would clearly see that I did actually take a giant shit on Relic because frankly, they deserved a truckload dumped on them but I also said they finally got their shit together and made an absolute gem of a game. I also said that the community balance team are doing an absolute fantastic job and aren't getting paid for it and it fucking annoys me to no end having stupid uninformed clueless idiots who are being served by volunteers for free getting treated like shit.
The stupidity of suggesting COH1 is in anyway anywhere near the quality of COH2 in both of their current states is next level.

I truly hope Relic aren't stupid enough to abandon COH2, its an absolute gem of a game now.
I may have been a little harsh, comparing COH1 1.71 to the current state is unfair.
Right now, the game is actually balanced extremely well and it wouldn't be the end of the world if we never got another patch.
I still just can't fathom the intelligence of a company that decides to never change the decimal place of one unit which basically left the game unplayable. Consider how many sales of COH1 which have undoubtedly occurred over that time and it makes Relic look lazy and incompetent.

This certainly does not bode well.
Someone has made the call based on financials to pull all resources away from COH2 and put them into their moneyshot, AOE4.
I wouldn't put it past Relic to just abandon COH2 now even though the community is doing almost everything for them now.
Just remember, COH1 is still stuck on the broken mess that is 1.71.

Spoiler: it wasn't offically live and was discontinued because the lead programmer died in a car accident.
Rocky summed it up well.

This is why I got out of running E-Sports, disrespectful ungrateful simplistic people expecting everything for nothing while being completely clueless about what it takes to make something like this possible.
As an older bloke who absolutely loved COH1 from the 1.1 patch, it's incredible just how short people's memories are.
The truth is, I've never seen a company fuck up a game so badly compared with Relic. 1.1 to 1.4 was great fun and then they released Opposing Fronts. Game was literally unplayable for months because brits were so stupid and broken.
I can't believe people are stupid enough to not remember just how broken brits still are in COH1. Light tanks hull mg's never needing to reload, sniper spam. 1.71 still had so much broken shit in it. Sure, the WM vs US matchup was and still is fun (if you don't sniper spam), rose tinted glasses ffs.
Then Relic brought out Company of Heroes online, amazingly fun concept albeit broken as fuck with cartoony abilities. The morons in charge decided to make it free to play without any need to ever buy currency because it was so easy to get, always doomed to fail. That game could have been amazing but they were so bad at developing a free to play game, it died along with the head programmer.
Finally, COH2 came out. Once again, I bought it but this time, waited for half price because damned if I was going to give any more money to Relic than I had too. I didn't like the new interface, all the abilities and new setup didn't gell and I played it sporadically for 3 months before putting it down. I still played COH 1 occasionally as I still preferred it. I had pretty much forgotten about COH2 till I jumped into a Tightrope COH2 twitch stream to see how it was and thought, I'll reinstall and see how it is going about 4-6 months ago. He had heaps of great videos that fed my mathematical desires and I got stuck into learning about the game again something I enjoyed very much.
Let me just say, it was night and day, COH2 is a absolute gem of a game now. Honestly, I was in shock, people who get E-Sports seem to be making decisions that stop making cartoony silly abilities so useful and make strats that need multiple units and get the balance so well. I started watching events and streams because the game flowed so well now, its simply jaw dropping to see how far it came. To make things worse, I went back and played a COH1 game and can't believe I still thought it was a good game compared. COH2 isn't just a little better, it's orders of magnitude better in every way.
The difference between patches now from the community compared with Relic is massive, honestly, the fact that Relic aren't basically helping anymore and have given it people whose only interests in making a game more E-Sports focused is fantastic. The game balance has never been as good as it is now, sure, some tactics are a little too powerful but the gentle approach they seem to have is simply far more successful at creating a better balance.
Have a good look at yourself and stop being a cunt to the guys who have provided so much fun to hundreds of thousands of people all around the world for free.

dude, thanks so much. I'm desperate so I'll give it a try.
Old replays always die with old patches, that is normal.
Seems like something simple is breaking it, speed maybe, i'll do it slowly but in saying that, I'm not changing the speed when it crashes so as I type this, I'm not so certain that is it but at least it is food for thought.
