I don't think anyone here said something anything of the sort. In my opinion the only mortar that is bad is the USF mortar halftrack. It can hit stuff now, but it has low range, a very low rate of fire, has no smoke, it does have white phosphor rounds but those are straight up worse than the incendiary barrage. Furthermore, the vet-1 ability, delayed fuse rounds, are... I'm not even sure what to say about them. In: COH2 Gameplay

Its almost as if that addtional teeny tiney itty bitty accuracy difference makes up for this difference: Reload Ost 2.4 Sov 7.5!!!!!!!!!!!! Its so much worse its almost inconceivable. The old Prec strike did make it worth it. The new one is less damaging then a Riflenade... Yeah. The difference in reload is huge. The German mortar fires a second shell before the first one even lands. I think the same differences apply to the german and USF mortar halftracks. I'm not sure about the rate of fire of the first, but the latter fires very slowly (like second shell is fired 3-4 second after the first one hits the ground). Since Rakkettenwerfer 43 is now actually a decent AT gun, I have found that you don't need 5 panzerschreks anymore. I just get 3 of them now and spend my munitions elsewhere. It feels inferior to the german mortar halftrack, I think the rate of fire is much lower and it might also have less range. But at least now it hits stuff, so that is nice. German 80mm mortar is awesome. 82mm mortar is also very good; it's regular fire is a alright but it evens out with a vet ability that is borderline broken. 120mm mortar is awesome. USF PAK howitzer and OKW leIG are also pretty damn nice now with the suppression. They are much more useful in supporting infantry pushes now and the suppression also helps when dealing with enemy mortars (slower re-position and rate of fire) I'm not sure if they fixed the PAKHowie crew bug where they don't get the 50% reinforcement decrease. Thread: Could Relic hotfix Pavlov's House?8 Apr 2015, 15:59 PM Salvageable wrecks has been an issue on a large number of maps now. Even after the first patch that fixed this issue, you could still salvage the panthers on rails and metal. Now after the second patch, they fixed this but failed to fix the ambient AT-gun wrecks on La Gleize (Breakout). Now new maps have been released that all have the same problem as before where even the normal tank wrecks are salvageable. In: Lobby

No, why should they do that? They keep distance seeking for a doubtfull yellow cover. PzGrens were fighting with a guard unit and won (of course - cover type + units strengt). What would I have done? Close with my 2 cons squads in hugging distance, even with "ourrah". I can guarantee to you that the ending would have been different. Now tell me I'm wrong. Rushing at a panzergrenadier unit in cover with conscripts often ends up with a massacre like in the first video. The conscripts would only have a chance to non-cost effectively force the Pgrens off if they happen to need to reload the moment the cons are on the other side of the cover, or when both conscripts are armed with PPSH41s. In my opinion the conscript squad on the right should have have stayed behind the wall on the right or move south a little to flank the panzergrenadiers without closing in on them. The other conscript squad should have hidden behind the truck. In that case the lone panzergrenadier unit would be unable to cross the gap to the truck without taking casualties. The only thing they could have done then was to close in on the squad on the right. However, the con squad on the right could then Oorah back and the Panzergrenadiers would have a hard time getting a cost-effective engagement. This however, would be completely fine as the Soviet player would have microd his more expensive force in a correct manner. In: Lobby
