Thread: Spray paint can & gray cover10 Oct 2014, 20:47 PM I'm interested in seeing what this is. I wonder if the Spraypaint will just be an Avatar of sorts? It'll be more war spoils and DLC content you can unlock, would probably make sense considering it's a 'Tag' like a spraypaint 'tag'? I like the grey dots for neutral cover though. In: Lobby

Read this first !10 Oct 2014, 19:50 PM Genuine Question: If 4v4 is so utterly broken, why do you continue to play it instead of moving to 1v1 or even 2v2 (2v2 I understand still has some issues but better than 4v4 from the sounds of it). I personally hate long matches, and prefer to not have to rely/be relied on by other players so I only play 1v1, but I really want Relic to fix 4v4 so everyone can be happy. In: Lobby
Thread: More L2P in the forums plz10 Oct 2014, 18:40 PM I would like to see more people going to the Strategy forums to ask for help when getting wtfpwned instead of complaining about balance. I'm probably guilty of it myself, but I also try to make sure my first move is go to the strategy board and ask "How am I supposed to use my Sturmtiger?" or "What do I do against LMG Grens in large numbers?" or "What should I do about enemy armour when I'm using T1?" As a default, I don't think I'm at a high enough level of this game that balance truly matters. Most of the time I lose it's due to something I did wrong or the opponent did right. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: How to use Assault Grens?10 Oct 2014, 14:18 PM As said a few times above, I don't use them much but when I do it's in conjunction with regular grens. Grens can engage an enemy squad then flank with AssGrens, or break them into different areas of the map to cap, then bring them together to handle long and short range. Anyone tried coupling them with a sniper? I imagine that would be quite lethal, since anyone trying to rush the sniper will get cut down by the AssGrens. It would be extremely MP heavy of course... Thread: Fantasy Faction II: Core Infantry9 Oct 2014, 21:10 PM Merging conscripts with Obersoldaten/Panzergrenadiers/Sturmpioneers etc would be GDLK. Not even joking. The thing about conscripts is that they are much more squishier than... Nearly all axis infantry. Perhaps sturmpios could be merged into, but say, obers, are worth their reinforcement cost for their reduced accuracy from receiving small arms fire - which makes them last longer. Cons inherit the new squads weapons AND reduced incoming accuracy. They just don't inherit the armor, so as long as it's not Shock Troopers you're gravy. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Which T0 Upgrade is Necessary?9 Oct 2014, 19:11 PM I always get medics, timing depends on how I'm doing in the early game. If my squads are fine and all healthy I'll invest in more troops, otherwise I'll go earlier medics. I usually get Molotovs after my third Cons squad, but if I'm going with a T1 heavy build I usually ignore in favor of Penal flamers. AT Nades depends on the way the game pans out. Right now I have been upgrading my cons to AT nades and getting a fast AT gun. I been having good success, especially with a partner in covering my flanks so I can get a good first shot at that pesky tank!! QUestion for those players who suggest getting t70 for Luchs: If the T70 a good investment? I am worried that it will be chewed up by schreck volks and Pumas. I think it depends on how fast you can get it out. If there is already a lot of AT floating about the map it might not be worth it, and I personally would save up for a T70 instead. If I can get it out before they have much armour of their own then I go for it. Even later in the game when it's too fragile to be fighting up front, it's still useful as a zippy capping/de-capping unit to take their cut-offs or get far flung points for yourself. If you can get it to Vet 2, pop on 'Recon Mode' and the thing is basically a map hack. Pro-Tip: Put on Recon Mode each time you go into Capture mode, since you can't fire the gun in that mode anyway, you may as well be able to see anything coming for you. In: Red Army Strategies

The biggest drawback is the weakness of both T70s and 222s. If you're not attentive they can each be killed in like 1 or 2 shots. And it can be difficult for them to vet up safely to get that extra sight range. True, it's fragile. That's why sometimes when it hits Vet 2 (or even before) if it's on the field and the opponent has bigger tanks/AT guns around, i'll change it to 'Capture mode' and also turn on Recon mode and then use it to zip behind enemy lines and decap their cut offs/fuel etc. Infantry mostly can't do much against it, and if a Tank or AT gun is coming you'll see it before it can engage and then run away again (only to return and decap again when they get pulled away) In: Red Army Strategies
