Thread: Lets talk Pgrens.7 Jun 2014, 22:16 PM The Pz Grens are essentially grens with assault rifles. In the old game, this was actually an upgrade that cost munitions. The ARs are worth at least as much as LMG42s. This game puts the price multiple of Munitions vs MP @ 4 to 2 x in various areas. They just lack durability and cost a kings ransom and need alot of expensive reinforcement. They aren't supposed to be line infantry that soak it up- they are specialized for flanking runs. If the game has people spamming PzG instead of grenadiers, then the meta is broken. PzG should be 2 squads max IMO. There should be twice as many grens as PzG. In: COH2 Balance

One of the squads looks like it has a third bazooka. Each has different tradeoffs: - Get light AFV (s) with first 100 fuel points or less, hoard for first battle worthy tank- either one Panther/JzP IV. - Hoard/stall for the first Panther/Jagdpanzer IV directly -Hoard/stall for the first Heavy directly. They also built 2 buildings when with a better doctrine they only had to build one. The fuel/muni resource in-availability leads me to think that the KT, JagdTiger, C-Panther are pretty much unaffordable in the practical sense. There's too much delay. In the preview, the C-Panther is unlocked at the 19:00 mark (10 CPs). Their fuel was at 260 when they got it. This means that this call in is inefficient for rushing. The OKW Panther is probably cutting it real close and the opportunity cost of getting it is probably worse than rushing for that first Panther for Ostheer. The only AFV that's left for the earliest build is the Jagdpanzer IV. In: Lobby
Thread: Hands on Western Fronts Armies7 Jun 2014, 18:05 PM KT is 700 MP, 260 fuel Ostheer Panther is 490 MP, 175 fuel SU-85 is 340 MP, 120 fuel Command Panther is 560 MP, ?? fuel I'm guessing the C-Panther is 200 fuel or a bit more given the difference in MP and the command bonuses. IF..and that's a big IF..the OKW Panther = Ostheer Panther in cost than the Jagdpanzer IV could be 125 fuel plus if prior relations b/w the Stug III G and P4 are applied. In: Lobby

It's just that they run the usual risks of getting decrewed The Pzgrens' panzershreck upgrade and late game scalability is factored into the cost. If it was just a pure Assault squad like AG then it could be priced cheaper. With the Germans, I find that their most cost effective units now (current meta) are Grens w/upgrade, Stug III G, Tiger. Thread: The Western Front Armies and CoH2 future7 Jun 2014, 15:50 PM I prefer if there was a COH2 expansion about early-mid war: summer 1941-summer 1943 Eastern Front (before a massive turning point in the war) and North Africa. The Soviets and the Germans fielded different armies with different equipment. Ditto for the Britsh/CW and the Afrika corps/Italian forces. In: COH2 Gameplay
