Thread: Lock Demo Behind Veterancy21 Jan 2017, 21:36 PM Demos are Coh2 Aids. Simple as that. They exist purely for the gratification of imbeciles because they add nothing, absolutely F*ing nothing to the game. They easily make the top five all time broken as fk coh2 cancer mechanics, and the fact they have not been addressed during the entire lifespan of coh2 is abysmal. If you suspect your opponent is a demo whore, or if you know your opponent is going to place demos because you have played them previously, there is no guarantee you won't miss some, especially if there are multiple places to hide them. They also become difficult to target sometimes if they are planted on top of flags. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Relic Winter Balance Preview v1.5 Update13 Jan 2017, 22:32 PM Edit : After some more thought ( too much actually ) and some more ingame testing I have come to the decision that there is no good solution ( regarding ptrs penals ). Adding upgrades for ptrs/flamers is probably going to be too demanding manpower wise, whilst on the flip side giving penals muni only ptrs/flamer upgrades offers too much utility and simplicity. I see your point, but if t1 took 40 secs, do you seriously believe anyone would build t1 as an opening build. Ost could literally have an mg sitting outside your base in that time. As to the point about At, well I think that allows other commanders other than guard commanders to be viable. As to the homogenization of build speeds, i don't think they are too similar at all. Okw still builds from t0, and ost will still have units out faster as grens are substantially cheaper. In your own words I am simply tweaking to make balancing more achievable. In: COH2 Gameplay

You should be punished somehow by getting far better units that the other player. Its your choice to get cheap cons or better penals at cost of 160mp teching. You also get good M3 (whitch now suck because of okw early faust) and sniper. Problem is how much time you lose going this strat. Another thing I forgot to include is penals also take longer to build than cons, about 7 secs. I can only assume grens also build at the same rate as cons since they cost the same. Furthermore, if you reread my initial post, my suggestion was to standardise the cost of penals ( ie bring in line with other factions eg USF ) so that capping was more equal and then balance all t1 units accordingly. Penals can still be good Ai and occupy their own niche if they have not AT, its just a matter of finding the sweet spot. In: COH2 Gameplay

We will also be able to realise true penals cost because right now they have to be "OP" in order to regain ground you lost in first 40 seconds, in like 5 minutes, before enemy gets even faster light tank than ussually. What do you think ? Meant to add to previous post, but sov t1 build time is 20 - 22 secs. In: COH2 Gameplay
