I see.. I was asking because I got a Soviet Commander: Terror Tactics and that's a paid DLC.. Does that mean that If i keep playing germans or sov, I'll eventually get the other paid commanders? That kinda defeats the purpose of selling them right? That's why I asked if they were permanent or not. |
Are they permanent? How do you find out if it is or not? |
I think it's a good idea to have bigger maps. And to address the long walks back to the front line, people will have to adapt and actually use 251 and M5's as troop carriers like they were originally intended for.
Artilleries are still viable IF they put a "destroy" button so that they can build another one further up when they have cleared an area. |

How exactly do you use minesweepers?
1. Do I have to manually click on a mine when my pio/CE finds one?
2. Does it automatically disable the mine after awhile if left alone?
3. When you give an attack-move order to your pio/CE, does it stop to disable a mine before going to it's given destination?
I'm fairly noobish and the AI doesn't really make any mines and I get trampled in automatches on 1v1 but do fairly well in team games. A little help and a few tips would be wonderful. |
You guys are top ranked in both soviets and germans. You were matched up against another fixed team and not just any team, the team who have beaten you before. Yet you still decide to go against them with only 1 guy with elephants.
Unless you were sleeping when the match was loading, you'd be able to anticipate that they'd go for ISU's against you by simply looking at their available commanders. ISU's wipe squads but they are not Gods that can't be beaten.
Sending your troops to their deaths isn't the only way to scout out the enemy you know. That's what recon planes are for. You did use them but you didn't capitalize on your intel. So many times you could have easily won and so many times you had the advantage but in the end, their teamwork proved better and were able to amass heavy tanks. Russians don't click on the ISU button and 7 pop out. You had ample time to take it out before the next one appeared. |
I know people see this doctrine as OP but I don't really much experience with it and I'm really struggling with it. It is really good early game as you can roll out T70's or M5's to support your teammate but mid-late game, I always run short of MP because of the nature of the doctrine.
Should I bank MP before activating it? AHould I get it from the start?
I usually go T2 and get support weapons to compliment my teammate's con/sniper/guard/penal start. We do really great early game with this tandem up until I get my first few 2-4 tanks out. I know I need to work on micro and all that but after losing half-all of my armors, everything falls apart. I usually go with T3 to compliment my partners T4 but I really think we should switch.
Any gaming tips for this pretty commander? |
For port forwarding, do we still use the steam ports or are there different posts for the battle server or do i need to port forward both?
Can you kindly list which ones I need to port forward or open. Thanks in advance! |
OP says it happens to him while offline so lag would only be applicable to katitof. I've been having the same issue even when simply watching replays. not to the extent of 10 seconds though. |
