Take Close Air Support:


Only build Grens, PGrens and Halftrack (Scout Car if you have to)

Only tech to BP2 (for the FHT if you get hit by massed infantry) but don't bother building any tanks

Convert all other fuel to munitions

Build only fuel caches


I usally build 4 gren squads then switch to PGrens.

You will easily have enough munitions to shrek up all your PGs, hold them back to counter armour

Your grens are your mobile units you use offensively, I generally don't worry about LMGs because I have to keep them moving and just rifle grenade everything in sight.

If you really want support weapons steal his

FHT later becomes handy to reinforce and counter infantry counter attacks

If Grens die off replace them with PGs but don't shrek them up


As the mid to late game arrives you will have converted enough fuel to munitions that you can recon, strafe and bomb pretty much at will.

So, anyone given this a go in the latest patch?

It's been fixed for a few days I think

A) That is not you

B) That does not say don't talk about the elephant rather "none of this has to do with anyone's player card, how biased one is or isn't, showmatches or how many quote on quote "pro" (celebrity) players agree with you"


If I was talking about the elephant by itself you might have a point, but you can't say talk about the ISU 152 in a vacumn without a point of comparison.

What else should we be comparing it against if not the elephant?

The old STUG E was great for the price and ok if you remembered to use it as what it was, which was Brummbar light. If you tried to use as it the STUG Gs little brother and fight tanks with it you were going to be disappointed.

If you did not tech in that doctrine you would have fuel and manpower (and frankly nothing better to spend them on until Tigers) that you easily have 4 to 6 and keep near permanent field presence with them.
