I just had a 1on1 game as Ost vs Soviets. My opponent dropped at least 2 Dshk to me and when I capture it I noticed it won't auto fire when inf is in it's arch. Also I noticed when I have the unit click on it doesn't show the arc. The only time it fire is when I manually click on it and tell it to fire at a unit, but even then sometimes it doesn't work. Additionally, if the gun itself is dropped and I try to manually aim and attack it with button "a" I can't seem to click on it. This does seem broken to me? Anyone else?
As you can see here, in new patch british AT gun is using bugbox. Please fix it. Also mines are pink and I think soviet flamers as well. Don´t know what everything is bugboxed as well.
I am getting this as well. So frustrating trying to figure out where the unit is point and and where for me to aim my indirect fire. But yes, Good job Relic! I was going to buy the UKF for my friend and now there is another indication why I shouldn't.
Hey guys I don't usually post this what I just encountered was something I have never encountered in ANY RTS I have played. I was doing well and have map control and the stuart tank came MOPPED up my entire army plus base in less than 2 mins. I am talking about complete base destruction. I haven't been playing for awhile so I dont' know what is new or OP. But this has got to be the most broken thing I have ever seen. I will have posted a replay.
Exactly... This is not a new problem for relic to solve. COH1 suffered immensely from paratrooper blobbing, ranger spam, Brit blobbing and on and on. Eventually after 15 or so brutal and horrible game breaking patches one patch made it through with penalties to units blobbed together.
So I imagine they will bring the fix eventually in the form of a penalty for grouped units again as this is not a new issue. But then again.... OKW was released with heavy crush and allowing unit pushing with base trucks, which was a huge issue with the brits in coh1. It had taken years and numerous patches before it was fixed. so I may not have the same faith as others that this will be fixed soon.
Who the hell is on this dev team and why are they doing the same mistakes over and over again with COH2 ???? ugh.....
I couldn't agree more. Relic I have lost most of my hope playing of your games in the future.
What I meant was in the early stages of the game the balance guys mostly ignored what people like Aimstrong, Seph, DevM, Tommy, Inverse, Budwise, etc. had to say. Then later they had balance beta groups which consisted mostly of Relics "friends." A few of them really good, others average at best. The last and near perfect vcoh patch was mostly the work of the community, some legitimate experts at the game and others more balance and unit stat gurus. No private group they've put together has been as capable as that one, and the groups they did have were always put in the dark when they were about to milk new paid OP bullshit.
Blobbing will never be fixed, COH2 is very conducive to it compared to vcoh and here's just a few reasons why:
-USF get smoke grenades
-conscript oorah makes spreading out less important since you can quickly relocate 1 or more squads for small muni cost
-anti infantry vehicles are either more expensive (Ostwind) or less effective (armored cars) than their vcoh counterparts
-the way mines work punish players heavily for straying from a sweeper unit
-2 factions don't have snipers
-MGs dropping on retreat give more incentive to rush everything to a defensive position now that you have better chance of recapturing it for yourself
-off map artillery is more delayed
-some units such as field support guns and Scotts are probably better at insta gibbing stationary single squads instead of punishing a blob so long as its moving
-OKW completely revolves around infantry
