Thread: Input lag - lets end it. 1+ for support26 Sep 2013, 11:44 AM +1, input lag is serious problem... sometimes units don't react for 5 seconds or more... It suck if you need to micro(what micro !?) or retreat units. This is main thing that made game unbearable sometimes . I had good Internet connection and had problems with CoH2 only :/. Thread: Future Units Wishlist23 Sep 2013, 12:59 PM Towing would be nice, but we don't need separate towing unit, we had half trucks (need one free slot, crew go inside) for this, but I think that open version (without this ugly blanket on top, at least in summer maps, so we could see people inside) of existing German HT would look more "sexy" . Other towing/troop transport Units could be T0 Opel blitz and ZiS 5 truck, they could be used to move troops and guns on the battlefield (especially on larger maps), but they will be very vulnerable to small arms fire (no base rush) and soldiers inside would be unable to shoot and capture point's. Also both Opel and ZiS could be upgraded to ambulance trucks, (working after being set-up like Opel supply trucks now) carrying 2 medics like healing bunker, but more vulnerable yet can be moved during the game. Thread: Future Units Wishlist23 Sep 2013, 11:56 AM Puma Sdkfz 234/4 Would be great T3 vehicle ,especially with free top mg42 working like in StuG/P4. It has Fixed PaK 40 mounted on Top (turret-less) so It would Act as glass-cannon (high damage to armor, very mobile yet with paper health) in Mid game - like su 76, but they fail with damage and penetration values, making from TD arty unit... I would rather buff ZiS3 gun (and PAK) and add camouflage net ability (immobile, damage bonus for first shot from cloak) or rapid fire ammo ability. In: Lobby
Thread: Future Units Wishlist22 Sep 2013, 17:31 PM I would like to suggest adding Infantry support guns as T2 unit for both factions and buff AT guns accuracy against armor. Infantry support guns would provide short range direct fire with small High explosive rounds (weak, baby version of ISU 152 rounds or short barrel StuG) and light barrage ability similar to ZiS 3 now (but It could be removed from AT gun, it's ridiculous). Also they could deal with vehicles using HEAT round shoot ability (pretty much an 6kg AT nade) able to severely damage/destroy light vehicles and slow down heavier ones - it would had chance of damaging engine like AT nades and panzerfausts. Osther - 7.5 cm leIG 18 Cost 380mp Crew of 4 Barrage ability - free, 50s cool-down HEAT round shot - 75 munition, 20s cooldown Faster rate of fire than soviet counterpart Soviets - 76mm regimental gun M1943 - it's carriage is same like in small 45mm AT gun from campaign. Cost 380mp Crew of 6 Barrage ability - free, 70s cooldown HEAT round shot - 75 munition, 20s cooldown Larger damage and AOE than german counterpart In: Lobby
Thread: Tactical map feedbak22 Sep 2013, 15:45 PM Hello ! In CoH 1, Tactical Map [Num 0] was essential part of my play style and it was very often used (nearly as often like regular view mode) for situational awareness, selecting units, issuing macro commands,cap orders, queue movements and "jump" (tap 0, immediately click on place on map you want to see and tap 0 to go back in less than a second) with camera around battlefield - quite a lot tasks. I would like to share my thoughts and give some feedback about Tactical map in company of heroes II. Also I would like to hear other players thoughts and suggestions about TacMap ! Before this I want to say I know how TacMap situation was during beta and this can be subject to change. Also tactical map is much more readable and better than in beta and this need some mentioning and credit for Dev's ! Ok, here we go: CoH2 had serious problems with displaying Tactical map on screens with 1920x1200 resolution (most modern 24" screens) and having "movie" black stripes on top and down part of the map screen seriously reducing map size and vertical resolution . Actual map (not counting white area around) Is only 1/2 of screen vertical resolution (rest are filled by useless mini-map style decals) what is much less size than CoH1 had and seriously decrease it's usefulness. Unit Decorators (shields) should be smaller and more compact, they are slightly larger than in CoH 1 (and much more larger compared to map resolution) which combined with smaller map size cause more clutter on map and often cause selecting units when we want to just move camera in some place. I suggest removing squad size number in tactical map to drop shied icon size down or made more compact/minimalistic unit icons for tactical map. If it's not possible It would very appreciated if camera will go to point clicked on tactical map even if we select unit by this... (You can still box select units without moving camera). additional, easy to reach hot-key, allowing quick use of Tactical map on laptop computers. I don't want to rant, I just think that Tactical Map is one of most essential tools for playing Company of Heroes (and it's lack was big turn-off for DoW2) and it need some Love still . Thread: Replay viewing22 Sep 2013, 14:29 PM I Would very like to see 4 major things: # Starting the replays from paused state # Hotkeys for Play/Pause and controlling time forward and backwards (one speed step each time key is pressed). # Being able to play replay backwards (rewind, from -1/4x to -8x time) to see again some action without need of starting replay again. # opponent buildings should show build progress bars over them and their building queue after selecting. Thread: AT Grenades too effective 22 Sep 2013, 13:56 PM I think that Faust/At grenades should cost more, Yet deal noticeable amount of damage (improvised stickies felt to be much better than nades/fausts now) vs medium armor (larger deflection damage ?) + some chance of engine damage. They both are very short range weapons and can be well avoided by keeping distance, also AT grenades could be canceled if vehicle go out of range before being thrown (no 50m nades/fausts). AT nades HQ upgrade affecting penal battalions would be great thing too . In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: Where CoH 2 Went Wrong22 Sep 2013, 12:44 PM Most of OP points doesn't seem to be permanent and can be fixed soon . With large exception of Field defenses, soviets should get DSHK emplacement (with fuel cost like US mg does) and both sides engineers should get larger variety of sand-bags/trenches (like shell craters, not british-style), wire, wire fields (from beta) and better choice of mines -both infantry and AT mines(bring back soviet suitcase mine and single tile S-mine) available without doctrine for both factions. Defenses (mostly infantry cover) was important factor for games like CoH2 as well and proper balance between offensive and defensive tactics choices should be available for both factions .
