General Information


Thread: Soviet Revision. 29 May 2014, 11:19 AM T70 is a bad ass. Its amazing when you 'skip' T1/2 and rush for an early T70. Its the fact it comes out a bit sooner and then has better mobility than a T34, plus better damage vs inf that makes it so important to a fast T3 build. Even if I have fuel for a T34 when I get T3 up, i will still get a T70. They fare much better vs paks too which is ussually your opponents main counter. Into later game they are great at dealing with flank harrasment, or sweeping in late in a battle once the main AT has been neutralised. And M3 isnt that bad. Just keep your units close together. Id easily swap the M3 for having the 222 in teir 2. In: Lobby

Ok maybe T3 blitz was a little bit a mans strat. But generally USA was hard to stay in the game past mid game. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Uses of Puma?22 May 2014, 10:50 AM Spam them vs armour , their gun is very effective, and their manouverablility combine with smoke gives them survivability.. Just withdraw damaged ones, enemy cannot chase through other pumas. Target weak point just makes them ridiculous as they can easily and quickly mob any heavy vehicle and against medium tanks trying to reposition this is just an instant kill. You will want good micro, like with any 'light' vehicle, but these can pretty much deny enemy armour use. They will need to spam ZiS to counter. It's other obvious use is with heavy t1/2 to skip to T4. But T4 isn't the best right now. In: Ostheer Strategies

Thread: Maxim - Enough said21 May 2014, 07:47 AM Do not underestimate snipers against maxim spam. Exactly which unit would you like the soviet to kill your sniper with? No T1, no cons, an RNG mortar is the closest thing to a counter they could have. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Penals19 May 2014, 22:30 PM There is a time to use cons (or penals) at max range. And that's simply just holding ground in green cover so grens can't advance. Although the grens will eventually out DPS you, it's the buying time which is worth staying in green cover for, regardless of range. Not everything boils down to DPS. In: COH2 Gameplay

You can't deny luvnest's sniper wasn't doing a number on the maxims, forcing them to retreat a few times, what does the soviet have to take them out with no tier 2? He only lost it late game because he didn't retreat out of an incendiary arty for like 5 seconds. 2 snipers back by grens with rifle nade would melt those maxims and your likely end up with some stolen. Normal mortars take a bit too long to deal damage unless you spam em. MHT is more useful, and possibly also consider the doctrine with smoke pots at only 4 CP. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Give me a reason why KV8 is OP?18 May 2014, 21:46 PM 2 paks does a fine job of holding a kv8 off, one covering the other. Not to mention you can easily have a P4 at the same time. Meanwhile soviets will be struggling for AT if they went kv8. In: COH2 Balance

It's not like Eli is any stronger than it has always been , and you can just play hyper aggressive soviets (earlier armour) in which case if they do manage to field an Elefant, it will be in less favourable circumstances.
