I have found the focus fire ability very useful in large engagements, because with several squads you can catch an opponent off guard and finish a squad off very quickly, good vs US officers. I imagine the force retreat to be handy if you have a vehicle under threat from bazookas. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Rear Echelon Suppresive fire.2 Jul 2014, 19:57 PM It's wrong for a cheap harassing unit which is often going to be used on quite flanks to have an ability which allows it to easily beat single handed oh any other squad. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Rear Echelon Suppresive fire.2 Jul 2014, 17:15 PM This ability seems too powerful when its one RE squad vs any enemy squad on a flank. While the ability is active, it should not inflict much damage, like a vcoh MG42 would not inflict much damage, you need supporting troops to come in and damage/force off the suppressed squad. All you have to do with RE, is active their ability, and then once suppressed just walk up and kill the squad. For their price, this seems OP to me. The intention of the ability should be to support rifles and add fire support / suppresion tool. Not make them stand alone vs any lone enemy squad. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Okw Infantry support gun needs a buff?1 Jul 2014, 17:37 PM I find it quite situational, not really worth grabbing unless your enemy has a few support weapons or is being campy, but in the right situation it is devastating, and also comes from the same building as the IR halftrack, which is quite reasonable and really unlocks the field guns potential. Thread: Broken balance - Soviets vs OKW29 Jun 2014, 23:38 PM Most reliable AT for 1v1 so far for me is just one rocket AT, one shrek and then a Jagdpanther. That gives pretty nice protection for the tank hunter vs flanking. Compliment with fusiliers for their fausts.. Works a charm. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Build Orders for Soviet Industry17 Jun 2014, 11:02 AM Go for anything that is not manpower hungry. Cons and penals are going to drain MP. Snipers might be ok if you keep them alive. My two favorite is M3s, as you get the fuel back fast, they dont drain MP, and also try Maxims, as Maxims dont drain as much MP, they dont drain as much enemy manpower either, but you will have a T70 soon for that. That's literally the opposite of what rear echelon personnel are. No no no.. Just becuase you are Rear Echelon does not mean you do not still opperate as a soldier, first and foremost.. still even to this day. For example, my brother is a Mechanic in the British Army, this is a RE role... but he would still have the option to go out on patrols etc. And he is a trained Paratrooper as well, attached to 2 Para. So his main role is servicing the Paras vehicles, but he can fight along side them just the same. Virtually nobody in the army is not trained first and foremost to fight. In: Lobby
