It has higher damage as tradeoff. But its a weird gimmick. Some people would rather prefer vickers to be better to do its intended role as HMG and its crowd control. Since UKF is less gimmicky each patch, maybe someday soon it could receive better suppression to stop rushing OKW volks. As for Obers i might say that its harder to balance, because they excel at long range with its LMG. I would like to mention that the higher damage is only noticeable because it takes longer to suppress. When a unit is instantly suppress, they take less damage. OP, once there is plenty of cover going around in the late game, if your vickers is not vet don't expect to do much against more than 1 squad. In: COH2 Balance

It's in a weird situation, similar as to when SP had Stun nades on vet 3. An ability you would want to use more frequently but the scenarios on which you can use it are extremely limited. The editor is a mess (tons of unused units and weapons, some units are duplicated for singleplayer while others share stats with mp, etc.) so there would be like 200 weapons that would all need to be changed manually. And then the target size of structures like bunkers would have to be changed too. If someone makes a mod, does that make the change faster to be implemented in any way? In: COH2 Balance

If the Ost player is able to supress all of them, Brits lose very little, one or two men and they simply retreat back to base, 30 seconds of map control. If Ost fucks up, they lose their mg EASILY. The difference in required micro to combat brit blobs far exceed micro for Brit blobbing Camping and blobbing in the woods. A map which if you don't like both of those, you should veto on 2v2 (it's fine on 1v1). You didn't address the part which i said the same would happen in the previous patch. You could rollback this patch right now and Dane would had lost in the same way. Blobbing makes things easier and feel like cheese. But it doesn't mean it's the most optimal way, just an easier way to psychological mess with your opponent. This is not something unique to this patch nor UKF. In: COH2 Balance

And not surprised that you are one of the first to comment. Funny how u care about CoH2 when u spend most of your time playing CoH1. 5 squads of IS with bolster using assault charging an MG which is not deploy in no cover by the time they are at 20ish range. They then proceed to snipe the gunner before he can suppress more than 1 squad. They could revert the patch and the same would happen. If i were a dev and the game would be able to be patched server side, i would ninja revert the IS change and see how people would still be screaming IS OP. In: COH2 Balance
