IF you can't handle the game ever changing, back up your version and play it offline. You wanna change sth. that isnt broken. Abandons are no frustation, they are fun. In: Lobby

Where is the problem with that. Everybody, except certain tryhards and tournement players like it. There is nothing wrong with having some rng in the game. Ladder is meaningless for over 99.99999999% of the playerbase. If you are skilled -> you will win nonetheless. In terms of overall impact on your results abandons are negligible. Thread: Abandon29 Jan 2021, 17:50 PM i wonder, how players, who want to remove abandons, think about games with mechanics like perma death. Or games like xcom. Games which are designed to fuck you up at some point, because those little 5 % say, that you are going to miss the shot. IMO these games are thrilling. It is not bad game design but the personal choice of the devs on how the game should be. Since opinions on what is fun differ, there is no right or wrong. Same goes with the arguments, that is punishing risky plays etc. It is only an iteration on how the game could be, but not necessary on how the game should be. Frankly, everything that pushes coh2 into the esport scene takes cool stuff away. And since there is only a small amount of real competitive players, a tourney mod is more than enough to cope with them. I understand that those players want to erase this kind of rng if money is on the line. But for normal ladder games is means shit. Rank doesnt mean much outside of tourneys. And if you wanna climb ladder, the games were the mechanic might fuck you up are so rare, that it wont stop you from climbing. Removing it wont achive anything therefore. Edit: That doesnt mean, that there is no room for adjustments. In: Lobby

Will there be another 3v3+ map pool rework any time soon? There are a lot of quite well balanced 3v3+ community made maps and the current map pool for 3v3 is weak. Even more so when you consider that winter maps completely remove FPS later on in game (at least for me, on RX 580 and Ryzen 5 1600) so a ban on all of them is necessary. I know that the next map patch will focus on 1v1 and 2v2 (2v2 I understand as it's one of the more played modes but 1v1 only for tournaments?), but will there ever be a 3v3+ rework? Eg: I personally consider maps like Steppes and Whiteball to be one of the best designed maps, ever, but I understand why some people like Redball and Ettel as they require minimal input and favor AOE. Is the community generally leaned on that side or are there more people that consider AngryMundy and Ettel horrible maps for team modes? Steppe is like the worst map in the entire franchaise.
