Thread: Why would I build a Panther?2 Sep 2013, 18:51 PM ive played quite a bit with panthers and in my opinion they eat up su-85s for breakfast if micro'd well...they are quite nippy and frontal armour is decent in a 1v1 arena yes they are super costly and put ur mid game at risk if ur saving up but if u manage to look after him and u havent allowed ur team mate to build up an su85 army u will be able to handle all armoured threats. but for the same fuel cost u could get a tiger or an elephant...actually i think its cheaper to get a tiger or elephant so yeah i never tech t4 in 1v1 In: Ostheer Strategies

Thread: Tiger commander fans?31 Aug 2013, 17:28 PM i played a 1v1 auto earlier and managed to field dual tigers...i was busy building t3 building when a happened to see the enemy building t4 (for su-85 obviously) so i quickly stopped my engineers from building my t3 and just saved fuel for tiger instead...he went and built a su85 but it couldnt really do much as it had no tanks to fire at my pgrens with shreks kept them away fine...and with my tigers i ended up winning...i got a faust hit on su85 so it got engine damage and the tiger moved in for the kill strafe kept all his infantry at bay as he was also pumping out snipers In: Ostheer Strategies

The big tanks help sure, but I've often taken a beating and lost too much map for too long. So i'm not sure it really works. You get the Tiger, fragmentation bombs, as well as the mortar ht. It does look really nice i just dont know how viable it is without blitz cargo truck....without that boost it takes to long to pull out the tiger...i find when waiting for tigers or elephant i almost always lose because my mid game crumbles without tanks such as the panzer 4 In: Ostheer Strategies

Martar(-halftracks) are too luck based. Pgrenadiers are too costly. Against SU85: Wait for Elefant, get an Ostwind afterwards. im not sure t4 with elephant is a good idea because u wanna save up all ur fuel for elephant instead of wasting it by teching up and if he has allot of snipers its gonna cost him allot of manpower In: Ostheer Strategies
