Against USF it require tons of practice but in the end you'll see USF cannot counter well positioned Paks, vetted mg-42s and snipers unless they have indirect fire. If you don't belive me just check how Cruzz plays. But yeah, Ostheer T4 could use some love. On equal skill level it's WFA < EFA atm. I do belive you. As Ostheer you really need to "work" hard, any mistakes get severely punished. That doesn't change the fact that they're the weakest faction atm imo. In: Lobby

In late-game the Soviets are still more powerfull than USF thanks to their unit's durability and tons of commanders. USF late-game doesn't exists and it's suffers from missing hard-counters through the whole game, by the end of the match they are usually lacking MP as well. Best in 2v2s and above is OKW as they don't have to get all buildings so they can specialise to maximum potencial if properly supported. I agree. Soviets is all about chosing the right strat for the right map, if you manage to do that you'll be in a very good position no matter the opponent you face. Ostheer is by far the weakest in any matchup. Their weaponteams melt to pretty much everything and grens are lost without lmgs or g43s. T2 Vehicles are usually hardcountered the moment they arrive, t4 is rarely ever affordable, t3 is lackluster to say the least. It's all about waiting for the Tiger. In: Lobby

Just nerf a bit the long range DPS of Riflemen. -AA HT needs to be delayed and AT capabilities tone down. The Volks vs Rifles matchup would also profit from a long range dps decrease on Rifles. The AA Halftrack is a known issue. Another problem imo are weapon teams, the die incredibly fast to BAR/1919 or even Vanilla Rifles. Ostheer vs USA really needs to be looked at. In: COH2 Balance

The T70 had a lot of difficulty. If you yield a KV8 you are screwed for the up coming Super Tanks of the OKW. Wow, 1200mp?! what have you been doing the whole game? Nearly everything is hard to kill in groups of three Seriously, there's a wide array of counters available to deal with Obersoldaten. Soviets; -Maxim to suppress+any infantry to deal damage -Any sort of vehicle -Snipers -Indirect fire -Shocktroops but only if you manage to close the gap (hint, truesight/ smoke nades) Even Guards can stand their ground when in a favorable position because their PTRS penetrates the Obers Armor and you might land some crits. Just make sure to retreat soon enough. USA; -.50 cal to suppress any inf to dish out the damage -volleyfire (haven't tried post patch so might not work anymore) -any sort of Vehicle except ambulance -If you have them around and you should have them around lategame, vet3 rifles with BARs or 1919s John Moses Browning developed some damn fine pieces, use them. Ofc the effectiveness of counters varies strongly depending on your opponents skill, but the ones listed above are the ones I had most success with against Obersoldaten. In: COH2 Balance

And they are a long range high damage DPS unit that also has a decent dual set of armour. And they also do more damage to units on retreat. Their assault rifles have cover denying bonuses. Shocks have none of these advantages. They only work in close quarters, not from max range. They don't get retreat bonuses. They're doctrinal and deny you guard riflemen. Obers are shock troops that work from max range and have a bunch of needless extra bonuses and *barely cost more than shock troops do.* While I agree that the modifier on retreating troops is crap you still have to keep in mind that shocks require no tech, have no buildtime and are available much earlier. The IR stgw might need some tweaking too. In: COH2 Balance
