rhzev winter. all the ice around the middle vp makes it so much fun |
personally i prefer the spring maps. i guess we already have more spring maps than winter maps right now though. i just think that the blizzards can be a little too frequent at times, which makes them more of an annoyance rather than a cool mechanic. im assuming blizzard mechanics arent something you work on, but id like it better if they werent so predictable. fewer and more random (maybe even longer) blizzards would make winter maps more interesting.
like cannonball said, its not really the winter map i dislike. its the blizzards. i do like the snow and ice setting |
at gun damage isnt bad, its the missing that is just awful.
I'm guessing ATG get decreased accuracy at max range. This is counter intuitive gameplay wise since a competent player will try to keep his ATG as far as possible from the enemy front line while still being in range. If a gun has to be 20 meters from a tank to hit it, the tank will simply bypass and circle strafe it.
its not really counter intuitive. weapons are less accurate at range. not making the realism argument here, but thats true in real life and the game. that alone makes it intuitive. even just looking at game mechanics, ALL weapons are less accurate at range. small arms, AT guns, tank guns, mortars, howitzers, you name it, its less accurate the further you shoot. i guess sniper is the 1 exception. i agree its very frustrating to have AT guns miss a few shots in a row, leading to them getting flanked, so many a small accuracy buff is in order, but not too much. i dont think they should hit tanks 100% of the time at long ranges, even if theyre stationary |
yea i wasnt advising it as a strategy. just saying, in a pinch, it should easier to get a heavy out now. obviously losing your army to get a panther out isnt a good idea. |
i see what you mean, but one thing i thought about was this might allow comebacks to be a little easier. say you get your army wiped and lose most of the map. your mp income is going to skyrocket and your fuel will drop. with high fuel costs, you wont get a heavy tank out again until you take the map. now you can afford a heavy tank easier. not sure if thats what they intended, but just something i thought about. |
In that case thanks woof : P !
I know that in a bubble cons and vanilla grens are very similar in their dps and survivability but with gren lmgs; mg-42 suppression, point blank damage and survivability (hopefully fixed); cons having to cross out of cover to throw a molotov vs rifle nades being often easier to use from cover... The list goes on but the point is, in the complex context of an actual game I often find cons to just be lacking. I get the whole asymmetrical balance thing and I'm not saying "Soviets so UP!!!" or anything like that; I was just hoping for an adjustment for cons to make their semi required aggression feel more rewarding. Something like an increase in close range accuracy and a decrease in long range accuracy or something to that effect.
well i get what you mean, but i think that has to do with relics whole design for cons. youre right that they are lacking once germans get upgrades/mgs/pgrens but if they buffed cons, then theyd be stronger than grens in the early game. relic has said they didnt want cons to scale as well as grens, so i think things are working how they want them. cons are equal to grens early on, then should be phased out and replaced with elite inf later on. if you want to use cons longer, you need to pick the htd/ppsh doctrine. |
aim time is not included in reload time. the full shooting cycle is this:
wind up, fire aim time, shot, wind down, cooldown, reload(if necesarry)
tanks (besides ostwind) have 0 wind up, wind down and cooldown currently. if it was infantry they would be relevant though. for the first shot on a new target, fire aim time is replaced by ready aim time. this also only really matters for inf, since tanks ready aim=fire aim. all tanks (besides ostwind again) will reload after every shot, inf obviously varies a lot in how many times it can shoot before a reload.
its off topic but just a little mechanics explanation for those who care. |
Idgaf about Tiger.
Im concerned about those Gren Rifle changes. Whats up with that.
I thought Cons/Grens was supposed to be solid.
it really doesnt change anything significantly
before the patch
k98 3.80 near 2.42 mid 1.03 far
after the patch
k98 3.78 near 2.40 mid 1.03 far
actually, let' do a math here....
you accidentally gave the tiger 325 armor instead of 300. also, for the sake of accurate numbers, the tiger takes 5.25 seconds to shoot and the is2 takes 9.25. thats because it takes .125 seconds to aim and the shot itself takes .125 seconds. pretty minor but i thought id point it out. |
your test sheet? now youre stealing milkacows work!? |
hey man you stole my work, just reformatted it. thats called plagiarism no wonder you didnt last long in college.
as for the mosinn dps enkidu, a squad of conscripts deals very similar dps to a squad of grens. everyones major complaint was flanking mgs wasnt rewarding enough. thats been fixed now. i dont think cons need a buff |
