General Information


Thread: T34-85 and SU-8521 Nov 2013, 22:29 PM t34/85 has 120 penetration, 40 range, 2.5 AOE, 124 front armor, 800 hp, and it shoots every 6.25 seconds. su85 has 170 pen, 60 range, 1 AOE, 180 front armor, 640 hp and shoots every 4.25 seconds. both do 160 damage. the t34/85 is the better all around tank obviously, but still cant compare to the su85 for AT. with good micro, you may be able to kill at panther with 2 t34/85s, especially if you ram with one. overall, id say they would lose more often than they win though unless you can hit the panthers rear armor. Is that not insane? please reduce this Relic. it actually only gives 13 fuel per minute. its actually only 4 and 1/3 fuel caches since each cache is 3 fuel income. that also has the drawback of losing 65 manpower income per minute, which is very noticeable and hurts the amount of infantry you can build and reinforce. its like having the upkeep of an extra 44 population the entire game. not saying i think its entirely balanced though. Thread: Is the T34 too cheap for its effectiveness?21 Nov 2013, 08:16 AM i would hardly say the p4 outclasses it in almost every way. the t34 is more mobile, has less scatter (better vs inf), and has a higher rate of fire. the panzer 4 has more armor (irrelavent vs AT guns), more penetration, and does 40 more damage. they both have the same amount of hp, AOE, target size and range. based on all of this, theyre both good all-around tanks. the p4 is better AT, but the t34 is better AI. i think theyre both priced fairly and well balanced currently. Thread: Worldbuilder just crashes instead of starting up.20 Nov 2013, 17:14 PM i bought coh2 on steam and i have been using the same folders as you. robotnik was referring to the coh1 steam version im pretty sure. while trying to find a fix for this game, i found out they had a similar issue when that steam version launched and that was how you fixed it. Thread: Flames20 Nov 2013, 03:40 AM Jump back to quoted post20 Nov 2013, 03:24 AMWiFiDi yea it turns out i was wrong. however the modifier doesn't modify damage anymore it modifies received accuracy. .5 recieved accuracy. this means sniper rifles which have an accuracy of 1 will miss half the time when shooting retreating squads. for some reason, relic chose to give flamethrowers an accuracy of 11 though. that means flamers will still hit a squad every time while it's retreating. like wifi said, they will take full damage as well. besides, the real damage from flamethrowers isnt in their dps (which, other than the kv8, is actually quite weak). most of their damage comes from crits, just like molotovs. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: AT Nades Vs Panzerfausts20 Nov 2013, 01:34 AM i didnt bother asking because its not very difficult to figure out. in case you dont understand rear armor, here is a picture showing what parts of the tank count as rear armor. its the area in red, entire back half, including the sides. as for the AT nade arcing over the front, you can see this fairly easy in game. when a con throws a nade, it aims for where the vehicle is when it is thrown. once its flying, if its going to miss, the nade starts to home in on the target. if the vehicle is moving forwards towards the conscript, the nade will be overthrown. this is the when the nade flys over the front of the vehicle. if its reversing away, the nade will be underthrown and when it homes in, it will still hit the front armor. i can cause AT nades to hit front armor on panthers very consistently by getting close to cons, then reversing away once i see the throwing animation begin. it still has over a 1/3 chance to cause engine damage, but its practically 90% if it hits the rear. Thread: AT Nades Vs Panzerfausts20 Nov 2013, 01:20 AM penetration causes engine damage 100% of the time. there is a small chance it will be heavy engine damage, but it will slow your tank every time that in penetrates. the reason i know its not a bug is because ive talked with a dev about it. he compared it to the piat in coh1. weapons fired in an arc can go over the front of the target and collide with the back half. this is considered rear armor. this is made even more common by the fact that AT nades home in on their target.
