Flawed logic. The PPSH is only available in a handful of doctrines and its some of its power needs to be accounted for because of this. The LMG is available to any German player. I don't think its fair to compare to the two 1:1

How about we give Soviet reliable Anti vehicle unit by changing guards?
They will start with their machine guns (no anti vehicle capabilities whatsoever, you got AT nade to deal with light vehicles) and T3/T4 upgrade that will give them anti tank rifles. Of course damage of these will have to be buffed to be in pair with PGrens.
This would create room for light vehicles in early game, making them more viable Sniper counter and fixed somehow questionable usage of scout cars as well.
Not to forget Soviets would get some AV infantry but they would have to change button ability as well I guess.
But it doesn't make sense, how can a AT rifle match the efficiency of the best WW2 hand held AT weapon? Isn't SU85 deadly enough to pop panzers?
Just make the Guards come without any special gun and require to upgrade will be fine. |
Forget grenadiers, just increase pzgrenadiers defense. They are ridiculous. I see nobody here thinks at the micro issue. Much easyer not to loose entire russian infantry squads BECAUSE THEY ARE 6 FFS! No squad whipe for a single tank shot eather! I mean, in dome cases, german infantry has no real chance to survine middle and end-game.

Flames are supposed to do damage to mines. I haven't tried using a flamethrower to clear mines since, like, last June, so no idea if it actually works.

Grenadier wipes don't bother me, it's the random pgren death. Maybe because grens seems to space out more, I seldom have as much trouble with them. I think they need to seriously re-examine their AOE system.
Right now my solution is simply to retreat at 75% health with Pgrens, anything less and you are at more risk for a wipe on retreat or from AOE weapons...With that change in my play I've managed several vet 3 pgrens today, but it obviously has a very large opportunity cost when you're retreating squads that still have 3 guys.
It doesn't really work, a T-34/85 can squad wipe a full health vet 3 PG if RNG God smile upon the T-34 gunner. |
I love the 60 muni Stuka Strafing Run. My 2v2 partner uses the Air Superiority commander in almost every game now and that strafe has saved more snipers, paks, and MGs than I can count. It doesn't really do any damage, but it is great at slowing or stopping flanks. Also, blobs of pinned infantry make for epic squish time.
That is great indeed, the only downside is the ultra long cooldown. |
