When you play USF you have to get the right build/tech order with the right commander. If you are coming with the mentality of 1 super unit winning the game like ISU, Tiger, sniper spam, etc the USF are not for you. That's how many people think, they want to micro one strong unit over managing a number of units. In: COH2 Gameplay

This way people think twice before spamming it and if they do, they delay their teching. Second step they have 2 paths to balance it. Either reducing its sight and acceleration so it can't go solo and get out of flanks so easily or they can rework its damage/penetration/suppression. The first step however is absolutely and urgently needed. edit: they can also make it take a little more time to build just to give the usf player enough time to build his first emplacement In: COH2 Balance

Also like Hon3ynuts said the paratroopers that are being dropped do come with only 3 thompsons or 1 LMG but do come with 2 bazookas if that is the random weapon. Sure its nice to get some upgrades included but they would be much more appealing if they came with the full amount. At least give the option to upgrade to the full amount. Mainly the 2nd LMG is what you want. Yes I too would like to know if the AT comes unmanned because of a bug? So you get: 1 lmg instead of 2, that is 50% less dps (that explains why they can't stand against vet0 obers) 3 thompson instead of 4, that is 25% less dps 2 bazoka, that is 100% dps. So you can get between 120 to 240 ammo woth of upgrades. I think its a good deal but as you say its bad that you dont get the option to upgrade the second lmg. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Airdropped Combat Group Cost Problem22 Sep 2014, 16:12 PM Currently the recon support commander Airdropped Combat Group comes at cp7, costs 900mp, and provides 2 paratroop units with random weapon upgrades + 1 unmanned at gun. This is a great deal but the cost in absolute terms is too high. It's very hard to use this callin because saving 900mp is hard and then spending it all on infantry doesn't make sense late in the game. I think relic should consider reducing the cost to something like 550 and in turn take out one of the two paratroop squads. At 550mp its affordable enough and does not cause problems with floating mp. In: COH2 Balance

I think this ability is way too good in its current form and unfair against other factions that have to use scout planes for more cost/risk. One solution is to make this ability only available through infantry units. Just like the flare thrown by Panzerfüsilier, you would send any infantry unit to throw the flare and reveal the area. This way it can't be so easy to use and so hard to detect for the enemy. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: A quick note for the Coh2 community (redux)20 Sep 2014, 07:19 AM Jump back to quoted post20 Sep 2014, 06:01 AMLemonJuice theres a lot of things i could say to clear things up about the beta but unfortunately i cant. in any case, there are counters that pq himself has suggested and other counters that i heard from other circles of players, such as fast fighting positions, using buildings to break/avoid suppression, smoke, m20, soviet t2, attacking from multiple angles, elite riflemen, etc. the thing is the majority of these counters wont work in every situation, and thats where the player has to take a step further and see what they can do. Yes, I understand you can't speak openly, but I think you agree that dumping this unit on the players with no clue how it can be countered and expecting them to "find a way" is not right. In: Lobby
