Thread: Soviet Industry needs to be nerfed.24 Feb 2014, 10:56 AM i only play 3v3 and 4v4 with soviet industry mines (lots of em), scouting and a couple (or 3) su85's are very effective. i like T3 alot, but SU85 is the only tankstopper so T4 is a must the only weakness on this is earlygame, almost no infantry so you need to follow and support a teammate. i always build 2 fuelcashes earlygame so yeh, i can see how soviet industry doesn't work for 1v1 anymore since no early t70 to compensate for low infantry In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Fuel and Strategic Points20 Feb 2014, 16:11 PM half of the games don't last long enough to field 11cp tanks and if you can, they come too late to make a difference (let alone enough time to get 100 kills with a kv-2 for the bulletin) if you reduce the fuel income or the start fuel in order to delay the onset of tanks, that won't stop the tankrush because it'll still be important to field tanks first. people will choose to either get more infantry or build fuelcaches In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: How does a German player deal with this?20 Feb 2014, 10:53 AM its a commander that is strong in teamgames, you need another player to be your infantry while bulding tanks in preparation for endgame. you can build T3 or T4 and tanks even before you get 3CP for windustry ! most of the time i cancel the tank that is building, pick the industry at 3 cp and build the tank again (insta tank build time) all you need to do is sacrifice infantry for fuelcashes ANY commander can do this, you don't need soviet industry what industry gives you is lots of fuel to keep pumping out tanks, and other commanders get other perks In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: How does a German player deal with this?20 Feb 2014, 08:50 AM first of, you cant win vs an organised team its always them 2 vs 1 of you m3A+sniper is 2 units; never use 1 squad you don't expect to win with a gren vs 2 scripts either and M3A is horrible to control with the fixed guns it always turns on its own to face the enemey and fucks up its own getaway path, so ambush works well against it. m3A scout shines vs lone squads, unprotected support weapons wouldn't be the first time i lose an m3A to a mortarhit while shooting at grens and also wouldn't be the first time squads get wiped out because they don't retreat you hear a car? set up ambushes, if you manage to faust it, its dead you knwo what my problem is in pickupgames people (playing soviets 3v3 or 4v4) that don't prepare for heavy endgame tanks and then are surprised they lose mapcontrol and the game. no matter how the first part of the game went, its the one that wins the tankwar that wins the game. Thread: Soviet Industry needs to be nerfed.13 Feb 2014, 13:05 PM try it out, SI at 3cp if you build 2 fuel cashes instead of infantry you won't be able to support you can build T3, you get 3cp and then fast tanks if you start building lets say a t70 and then get 3CP and activate SI, the T70's build time will still be slow/normal. so you're better of cancelling the build and start again after SI to get it build immediatly. what's no longer possible is to get a t70 just after german scout cars come on the field because your M3A sniper is pissing them off. but hey M5 krautmower gets a nice dps boost In: COH2 Balance
Thread: free commanders4 Dec 2013, 18:28 PM we only get free commanders because they want to know how popular new commanders are compared to the amount purchased. i hope they want to update that status each team they sell new commanders i also hope they see improvement make both attractive to use, or god forbid have a community contest about designing one for each faction don't cater to the tourney crowd alone, afterall they boycot new commanders In: Lobby

Every soviet seems to play it now in 1v1, and as long as the map isn't too large, 0 CP heavy machine gun combined with conscripts, is virtually impossible to beat early on. with the increased MP at start and reduced build time, you're better off getting T2 as soon as the game starts playing against it, go mortar conscript/grenadier +mg+mortar works well together, just keep them together so the mg can do its job last patch definitely made 3v3, 4v4 more enjoyable as soviets, still have to prepare well for the inevitable endgame tankrush from the germans, thats where going T2 comes in handy for the Zis In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: MG42 just useless ?12 Nov 2013, 21:23 PM Jump back to quoted post12 Nov 2013, 19:36 PMGustavGans No because an mg42 squad with 6 men and only 4 men gren squads without oorah to counter them is a fucking pain in the ass its a suppression tool, not a killing machine, so 4 or 6 mean doesn't change riflegrenade has a nice range so oorah isn't that needed yes, 6 man soviet support squads have a better survivability than 4 man german squads but my point was actually it can't be that bad if soviets prefer to take an mg42 instead of building a maxim people build an mg to stop advancing infantry and mg42 does that better than maxim and it comes out sooner and then people wonder why soviets revert to building hopping for cover, must be because they so strong at start of the game, yeh building a munitons cache and getting LMG grens is indeed a smart move, now those are killers compared to a badly placed mg In: Strategy Desk
